RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Setting Quality objectives and KPIs on the country level
2. Leading the Food safety department to ensure all audits, Pest control activities, verifications and validations, promotional items and packaging safety analysis are done on time and complying with the company’s standards.
3. Developing the raw and packaging materials sampling plan based on material risk and supplier level of confidence.
4. Leading the raw and packaging vendor assessment program, materials receiving and supplier complaints.
5. Responsible for the finished product release based on daily micro. and sensory testing.
6. Leading the micro. and chemistry lab.in the plant including all resources and analyses.
7. Responsible for the consumer complaints investigations, corrective and preventive actions.
8. Leading the regulatory affairs and label management within the company which includes approvals of the labels against local and export countries - GCC, Jordan, Lebanon…etc. - regulations.
9. Assessing the department’s training needs and planning for it.
10. Owning the quality department’s annual budget.
11. Leading a team of 13 QA specialists and microbiologists.
1) Roll out food safety awareness to the plant team.
2) Provide initial and ongoing trainings regarding the GMP's and personnel hygiene and other tailored training topics to the entire plant employees and ensure plant compliance.
3) Conduct internal AIBI audits in the plant on monthly basis and assure corrective actions resulting from internal audits are completed and accurately executed in a timely manner through close follow-up.
4) Prepare for the external AIBI audit and participate actively on it.
5) Ensure PI minimum mandates compliance.
6) Report on a monthly basis status of food safety measures to the central quality team through CAP and scorecards.
7) Develop/review all documents required by the AIBI standards concerning food safety and follow up on their application.
8) Coordinate with Johnson Diversey to ensure Heavy metal elimination in annual samples tested at Cork, Ireland.
9) Lead HACCP/ISO22000 / FSSC 22000 implementation and ensure compliance, external audits are done twice per year.
10) Audit and prepare for systematic audits from the Business unit (QAS, COSO & M&W)
11) Supervise and follow up on all pest control activities in the plant.
12) Auditing 3PL sites to make sure of compliance with PepsiCo. requirements.
13) Responsible for 4 DCs regarding food safety, pest control and quality systems implementation.
1) Creating product passports “Summarized product acceptance criteria” to identify product requirements as per the international standards.
2) Generating QA reporting forms for product inspections based on the UNECE and Metro standards.
3) Pre-Audit visits for initial supplier selection.
4) Auditing farms and packaging facilities against Metro international standard for final supplier selection.
5) Providing technical assistance to suppliers.
6) Performing pre-shipment checks and reporting to the head office in Turkey.
7) Handling claims from customers and reporting to the head office with the proper corrective actions along with claim analysis.
8) Providing on-time accurate information to the trading office QA, sourcing & selling on issues identified during quality checks.
9) Conducting regular QA reports for destined shipments.
1) Handling customer complaints, investigations from stores & following up on corrective and preventive actions.
2) Witnessing auditors from the contracted auditing companies.
3) Scheduling for samples from the stores, follow up on results and corrective actions for non conforming samples.
4) Performing quality & food safety audits on stores.
5) Scheduling 2nd party audits and following up on corrective actions for the non conformities.
6) Providing technical assistance for Quality Managers in the stores.
7) Supervising & following up the stores Quality Managers.
8) Providing training for the store staff (GMP, HACCP & personal hygiene).
9) Supervising and following up the pest control and cleaning chemical LSPs.
10) Implementing and innovating the quality system and HACCP.
11) Preparation for the FSMS application and certification.
12) Performing supplier audits based on Carrefour standard (HACCP & ISO 9001 based, for food and nonfood suppliers).
1) Planning for the Facility's infra structure.
2) Purchasing operational equipment for the facility (Hydro coolers "Static and Jacuzzi basins", UV disinfection system …etc.).
5) Based on the product type and vulnerability, a microbiological sampling plan has been put to insure product safety based on microbiological analysis and shelf life testing.
6) Identification and purchase of the "ready to eat" MA packaging.
7) Managing the overall work flow in the facility.
8) Training of the staff in the facility on various food safety topics, GMP’s, clean room basis, Pest control, …etc.
9) Managing 2 engineers and 15 workers to run the facility.
10) HACCP system building and qualification of the facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
1) Supporting the Farms and pack houses technically.
2) Managing customer complaints.
3) Developing and improving the documentation of the pack houses quality systems.
4) Managing 4 quality personnel in the pack houses, ensuring the application of various quality systems and providing technical assistance. (HACCP and BRC).
5) Supervising new crop's planting, processing and export. (Leeks, baby carrots and red dry onions)
6) Acting as the link between the technical advisors abroad and the farms and pack houses
7) Reporting all the processes progress in the field through periodical reports for the foreign technical advisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
1) Implementation of the BRC standard.
2) Assuring quality standards are met for different product processing steps.
3) Documentation & implementation of quality related checks (Scale calibration, fridge checks, weight checks, internal pest control…etc.).
