• Prepares tenders for all types of contracts, based on input data received from user departments / Cross-Functional Teams
• reviews tender documents prepared by user departments for ad hoc / projects contracts.
• Uses Maximo Computer System and electronic communication media such as e-mail, telephone and fax to carry out his work.
• Prepares Request for Quotation (RFQ) / Draft Invitation to Bid, also receives Drat Invitation to Bid documents from Cross-Functional Teams.

• Liaises directly with various departments / divisions, as necessary to expedite approvals for issue / award of tenders; answers all related technical queries.
• Obtains approvals / comments on Draft RFQ / Invitation to Bid from appropriate departments including but not limited to Legal and Finance departments.
• Finalize and issue RFQ / Invitation to Bid, attends Pre-Bid meetings as appropriate and prepares minutes of meetings. Performs commercial and technical bid evaluations on Bids and Offers received.
• Prepares and presents, as applicable, with input from customers, “proposal to Award’ for approval.
• Obtains approvals as per the delegated Financial Authority (DFA). Prepares, processes and issues Contracts.
• Ensures receipt of Performance Bank Guarantees (PBGs) and valid Insurance Policies.
• Prepares expediting schedules, as applicable.
• Participates, as directed, in negotiations with contractors for proper ratification of contracts / agreements and settlement of outstanding claims.
• Reviews Variation Order requests and prepares documents for further approval, as per contracts procedures.
• Participates in prequalification exercise for major contracts as required.
• Performs any other related duties as directed.
