My primary responsibilities are; Carry out interpretation activities in order to generate exploration prospects, meeting defined deadlines and guaranteeing the technical excellence of the output. Achievements during this period include:
1/ Proposed and design a number of s.q km of 3D and 2D
2/ Generated more than 40 prospect and lead, with full process of ranking and risking.
3/ Generated more than 5 stratigraphic prospect with full process.
4/ Preparation of exploration well proposals (wildcats and appraisals), and present the new finding in the annual Exploration technical review (ETR).
5/ Interpreted Basement in whole PDOC blocks and generated more than 25 prospect and presented in PETRONAS workshop with Basement team.
6/ Drilled 15 structure wildcat wells with very high success rate. As a result, added sizeable and significant reserves to PDOC.
7/ Planning for the 2D and 3D seismic to narrow down the uncertainty for leads and prospects.
8/ Effectively QC the new seismic data with the processing centers.
9/ Well designed in optimum locations and identified geological targets for horizontal and multilateral well trajectories.
10/ Geological evaluation of prospects, volumetric assessment, risking and ranking.
1/ Follow the geological operation.
2/ Collect samples.
3/ Describe samples which comparing with logging while drilling (LWD).
4/ Determine the oil zone shows.
5/ Determine the cassing zone collaborate with well-site geologist.
6/ Follow wire line logging (WLL).
7/ Present all data in a master log.
I have a master’s degree in Petroleum Geology (University of Malaya) with studies revolving around structural geology, Geophysics, Reservoir Geology, Sequence stratigraphy, Petrophysics, Basin analysis and Geochemistry.
