• Implements plans to promote a health & safety culture in workplace which effectively reduced incident rate resulting to reduction in medical claims.
• Implement management of change procedure in keeping with infrastructure modification, new equipment and policies.
• Carrying out schedule inspection of work locations and infrastructure.
• Inspection and arrange for calibration of machinery, tools, fire extinguishers, gas detector, sound meter, SCBA and all safety equipment.
• Conducting surveillance of site/work location to spot presence of risky/hazardous situations access it and provision of control to reduce it to as low as reasonably practicable.
• Conducts emergency safety drills such as fire evacuation, oil spillage, confined space rescue and any emergency as the appointed FIT team leader.

• Involve in HSE departmental yearly budgeting, planning and resources management.
• Involve external authorities and stakeholders MIC/QP in implementing relevant safety and security regulations.
• Carry out accident investigation and evaluation and propose measures to prevent reoccurrence
• Implement and maintain a functional PTW and Lock-Out Tag- Out system.
• Actively involving in HSE project management, Project HSE coordination of different service boat, thug boat, mooring boat and presently yacht of 71m length by 11m breadth;
• Planning, coordinating and implementing of effective HSE policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure that the department objectives are met.
• Design and install different kind of safety signs like informative, directional, regulatory, precautionary and other.
• Periodic inspection different types of fire extinguisher like Dcp, CO2, Mechanical foam, water etc, Power Tools & Lifting equipments and ensure their maintenance is done

•Inspect chemical storage area and check if in compliance with MSDS and government requirement.

•On regular watch on Main diesel engine (MT River Jehlum MEP M.A.N BHP 4200), auxiliary engines, machineries and water heater simultaneously as an Assistant to the senior engineer in charge of the entire watch eight hours out of the twenty-four. Reporting to the senior engineer in charge of the watch.
