Working as Lead electrical engineer for downstream GES+ and LSTK detail design projects.
Core responsibilities include
• Prepare basic engineering drawings, perform calculations, make datasheets for Electrical Equipment
• Prepare specifications and datasheets Area classification, Lighting, Power/grounding layouts
• Prepare Man-hour estimates for Aramco GES+ and other client projects
• Supervise Engineer and Draftsmen on projects work
• Vendor, client and consultant liaison
• Design review and comment closeout with client
• Prepare FEED documents in accordance with client requirements and local standards
• Perform Technical bid evaluation and NMR review
• Perform system studies including Load Flow, Motor Starting and Short Circuit Studies (ETAP)
• Perform cable sizing, lighting and grounding calculation
• Prepare Material Requisition for required Electrical equipment
• Prepare Bill of Materials / MTO for detail design projects for material purchase
• Sizing of UPS, Emergency Generators, Transformer, Cables, Earthing and Lightning
- Prepare basic engineering drawings, study from preliminary sketches, rough diagrams (mark‐ups), material take‐off, RFQ, Technical Bid Evaluations and Detailed engineering for both Power and Telecom systems of Oil and Gas projects.
- Review and interpretation of client specifications, national & international codes and ensuring best industry practice are applied and adhered to.
- Carry out Project management and close interdisciplinary co‐ordination activities and identifying the required manufacturer data from different suppliers to carry out accurate system analysis.
- Understanding of hazardous areas and the design of equipment for use in hazardous areas
- Preparation of Technical Offer and Material Estimation for project proposals
I stood in first place in Electrical Engineering Department and was awarded the President's Gold Medal.
