Key Duties and Responsibilities: 2023 May - UpToDate

• Taking off Measurements, Preparation of Preliminary Estimates and Bills of Quantities in line with Employers Requirements.
• Conduct an initial tender document study, identify the tender requirements, and conduct an initial tender risk review with management for taking decision to participate in the tender
• Preparation of Tender Documents as per consultants Tender forms.
• Monitoring of Tender queries and issuing Addendums to consultants.
• Preparation of Tender evaluation report, Attend tender negotiation meetings with shortlisted tenderers, Consultants & Clients
• Monitoring of potential changes and preparation of monthly cost reporting.
• Assisting Senior staff with Preparation of Contractors Claim Submissions
• Assist in all contractual matters pertaining to the Main Contract and Subcontracts and keep the Project Manager appraised concerning contractual matters.

- Develops accurate and clear cost estimates based on project data.
- Performs cost analysis such as preparing and analyzing costing for tenders to
assist in anticipating project costs.
- Conducts feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor costs for
projects.
- Assists in developing techniques/strategies to expedite the overall process of
tendering starting from quantity surveying to completing the Estimation
Sheets.
- Performs site visits and gathering necessary information such as accessibility,
availability of MEP services.
- Arrange responses for post tender clarifications and conduct value
engineering proposals/discount, if required.
- Review/verify the procurement packages and ensure that Quotations from
suppliers/ subcontractors are both technically and commercially in line with
the scope of work.

• Preparation of Preliminary estimation, Budget estimation, Detailed estimation (With Rate Analyses) Insurance claims and administration.
• Interpretation and following Company tendering processes and procedures to ensure all aspects of tenders are met including relevant discipline codes
• Attending pre-bid meetings & Sending queries and obtaining prices, analyze prices, prepare material and labor cost estimation and bid prices.
• Send information relevant to specialized works/special material requirement to subcontractors/Production Departments/Procurement Department for required inputs. Check and verify BOQ items with regards to quantity and specifications required and report to Estimation Manager accordingly.
• Utilized training in the prescribed estimating software and estimating tools necessary to perform quantity takeoffs, estimate calculations.
• Verify and certify Sub contractors interim applications for payments and issue payment certificates weekly or monthly.
• Preparing and compiling variation order documents with all relevant substantiation to the satisfaction of the Engineer/Employer.
• Assist with the identification and assessment of key project risks and linking these risks to the impact on the cost estimate (both deterministic and probabilistic).
