Portfolio Management of the change the bank Initiatives:
Managed the technical delivery of the following Strategic Digital and Cards technology initiatives
ensuring alignment with bank's strategy, commitments and goals
• Contactless card Issuance/Acquiring project to Introduce the contact less technologies into the local
market and helped the bank to position as an innovative bank.
• Prepaid card issuance for Non-bank customers to expand the business to the nonbanking customers
and other bank customers and increase the card business market share
• Mobile wallet and QR code acceptance on POS to launch the QR based mobile wallet and increase
the POS acceptance of the QR code transactions, to increase the customer experience as well as
comply with Central bank mandates.
• POS DCC project to enable Dynamic Currency Conversion on the POS terminals and thereby
penetrate the hospitality and tourism industries. Also managing the Acquiring of Diners cards on NBO
POS terminals.
• POS Acquiring of Diners, Union Pay Cards on NBO terminals to support the hospitality and tourism
industries where there is an influx of these card holders and increase the pos acquiring business
market share.
• Merchant integrations with the POS terminals to support onboarding new critical new merchants
like Muscat Duty Free, Oman Post and several hypermarkets.
Currently managing the following initiatives to enable the services through Digital banking and
ATM to enable the customers to
• Perform Card less cash withdrawals
• Update the card usage limits
• Update the card usage restrictions
• Update the mobile number and email to be used for Transaction notifications and OTP notifications

Assigned and managed the technical project managers to ensure the technical deliverable are as
per the defined project scope, schedule and cost.
Application maintenance and support for Run the bank:
• Managed the non-project changes to enable the business to meet their objectives.
• Guided and supported the application users as part of the Business as Usual requirements.
• Application life cycle management, Health checks and monitoring, Deployment & Release
management.
• Comply with the processes defined as part of the QMS.
• Incident management, Technology & Compliance upgrades, Architecture reviews.

Management with below high-level responsibilities:
• Created the Project management framework Policies and Procedures for PMO to be used for the
management of IT Projects within the bank and managed the Compliance/Risk/Audit aspects of
PMO.
• Hired, engaged, motivated and coached project managers, project & PMO team members and cross
functional teams for successful delivery of initiatives
• Managed the User Acceptance unit to organize and manage the UAT requirements of the project
portfolio
• Implemented the Quality Management system (QMS) for the IT-PMO Group as per ISO9001-2008
standards and got certified. Part of the Process Engineering Group
Portfolio Management with below high-level responsibilities:
• Supported the senior management team and facilitated approval of proposed yearly projects to
Senior Management Committee and for Board Approval Submission.
• Managed project portfolio and provide status updates to executive management of Bank & Senior
Management Committee.
• Recommended project prioritization, resource allocation & prioritization and adhoc CAPEX allocation
for new strategic projects
Program Management with below high-level responsibilities:
• Managed the implementation of Strategic Programs/Projects ensuring their alignment with bank’s
strategy, commitments and goals
• For assigned Programs/Projects, delivered the business objectives by orchestrating the internal and
external resources plus within the funding and timeline constraints
• Managed the technical delivery of the following Strategic Digital and Cards technology initiatives
ensuring alignment with bank’s strategy, commitments and goals:
➢ EMV program to enable EMV Compliant Debit card issuance and acquiring through the new WAY4 system
and migrated the debit cards and ATMs to the new switch. Complied with the mandates from
Visa/MasterCard/Omannet/UAE Switch.
➢ Digital as Business project to enhance the Lead management process and improve the Digital adoption
through Agile project management methodology. Achieved the business targets of OMR 5 million in loans
and increased the digital adoption and usage of the digital channels by the customers to 60, 000.
➢ Credit Card Program to enable the issuance of EMV compliant Credit Cards from NBO and migrate the
cards from the service provider to NBO. Reduced the operational expenses by USD 240, 000 per annum
and enabled the capability for the faster introduction of new products to achieve the business targets
➢ Prepaid Card issuance program to enable a new business opportunity for the bank, thereby enabled the
business to achieve the cards business targets.
➢ POS Acquiring project to Introduce a new business opportunity for the bank, which helped the bank to
penetrate the market and acquire 30% of the market and currently acquiring Mastercard, Visa, Omannet,
GCC and AMEX cards
➢ CRM implementation program, which enabled the bank to have one single source for viewing the customer
information as well as streamlining of the lead processing, campaign management and complaint resolution.
This enabled the bank to consolidate the customers of NBO Oman/UAE and Muzn Islamic window into one
source i.e., CRM.
➢ Digital Banking Initiatives which include Mobile Wallet, Twitter enquiry Services, Cards related services
through Digital Channels like Mobile banking, Internet Banking, CRM, SMS Banking.
➢ eCommerce (3D Secure) program to Secure the ecommerce transactions on NBO cards using 3D secure
technology as well as launch the eCommerce acquiring business in the bank.
➢ Branch Transformation program to Implement the Windows based Branch Front End system, transform the
branch network, rollout the Branch Front End system thereby mitigated the risk of using obsolete
technologies
➢ Procurement of the AML Solution suite implementation program to replace the current AML system with a
new solution.
