Ensure that, during all packaging operations, the site's safety and quality and compliance metrics are met.
Alert management of any potential deviations or infractions in a timely manner.
Mutual accountability with Packaging Leadership team to investigate, propose and initiate corrective and preventative action (CAPA) for equipment and process related issues based on root cause analysis
Mutual Accountability to review and propose revisions to Manufacturing/Packaging batch records and SOP's as required
Ensure that all employees training curricula are up to date
Assure all batch records are reviewed, corrected and submitted to the Production Pharmacist
Initiate, review, and approve Variance/Observation forms and deviation.
Effectively communicate and flow down objectives to all employees
Hold employees accountable for execution of assigned duties, managing defined roles and responsibilities, meeting objectives.
Consistently communicate, follow and enforce SOP's and company policies and guidelines set forth in the employee handbook.
Meeting all the desired documentation requirements to a level approved by WHO guidelines
Writing up Quality Assurance manuals.
Preparing for third party audits.
Online process control
Maintaining the company’s SOP system.
Managing the factory internal audit programme.
Ensuring that corrective action is taken to rectify any shortcomings
Testing incoming raw and packaging materials for compliance with laid down dairy industry standards
Carrying out regular Hygiene Audits of Factory and surrounding areas to ensure premises conform to Food processing Regulations
Product Releases to Sales and Marketing Department
Writing monthly Quality reports to National Quality Assurance Manager (NQAM).
Overseeing and coordinating the investigation of Customer Complaints and Non-conformities
Coordinating department business plans, budgets and technical decisions by submitting monthly Quality report to NQAM
To ensure that there was efficient organisational techniques and accurate record keeping
Coordinate staff training
Carry out inspections and general audits to ensure plant cleanliness
Job allocation for plant operators and maintaining staff discipline and motivation.
Monitoring raw milk Intake ensuring good quality milk is received in conjunction with Quality Control and verifying quantities offloaded.
Ensuring production meets sales requirements and producing reports for Production Manager.
Checking and ensuring efficient cleaning and sterilisation of plant and equipment by monitoring personnel and detergent concentrations and temperatures
Checking Pasteurisation and Sterilisation efficiencies during processing.
Ensuring efficient utilisation of raw materials, utilities and packaging materials by monitoring processing and checking yields versus standards at the end of every production run.
Products stock control and transfers to Sales.
Regular checks and recording on processing of all products to ensure conformation to company and Dairy Standards.
Oversee the manufacturing processes and make sure that production lines are running smoothly and efficiently
Preparing Production Annual Budget
Monitoring of sales figures.
Monitoring and supervising Production Controllers and Supervisors
Liaising with Plant Engineer on plant maintenance ensuring adherence to preventive maintenance programme.
Production Planning and Cost management
Stock reconciliation for packaging, Hulb and finished products
Maintaining staff discipline and motivation.
Writing daily, weekly and monthly Production Reports to Plant Manager.
Documentation and implementation of HACCP and ISO 9001:2008
