- Coordination with Major CAPEX maintenance activities for Oil Storage Terminals and Pipelines and Project expansion of the facilities storing White Oil, ATF (Aviation Turbine fuel ) for catering the continuous supply to Dubai International Airport via 57 km Jet Fuel Pipeline from Terminal Inside JAFZA, Jebel Ali to JIFF.
- Supervises monitors and controls the safe and efficient operations for the receipt, storage, measurement and Transfer of crude oil(Heavy and Light Crude) from HMPL SPM to Crude Tanks 14 nos. 60, 000 Kl each( 8.4 Lac KL ) floating roof and further to Refinery Tanks via 1014 Kms 28” and 30” Pipeline having 5 no's IPS and 27 no's SV stations.
- Coordination with SPM, Single Point Mooring berth, Boarding Officers & third party surveyors, Port Authorities for receipt of Crude Oil Exported quality through SPM through VLCC, Aframax, Suez max motor Tankers unloading average 7-8 VLCCs per month as required for 10.0 MMTPA refinery, finalization of receipt, OTR preparation.
- Dispatch operations through pipeline are supervised and control by SCADA and PLC operations from Terminal to Refinery and MES(Manufacturing Execution system ) system for day to day monitoring of activities.
- Monitoring of Online Crude Oil Parameters through on line Densitometer and Viscosity and Ultrasonic Flow meters and cross checking the parameters with the actual laboratory test results.
- Coordinated with Laboratory for regular crude oil sampling and testing to ensure crude specifications are adhered to required BS&W, Density, Viscosity etc for different grades of Crude Oil as required for refinery and onward blending in the required ratio through online blending skid as required by the SFSG dept for Optimisation .
- Assisted in developing the Department’s capital and operating budget and monitors expenditure through SAP module on ward preparation for PR, PO as per the requirement.
- Took charge of operations during daily activities in close coordination with Refinery, Pipelines and Terminal Team .
- Coordinated maintenance and shutdown requirements to ensure operation of assigned facilities is running smoothly. Liaises with various parties inside and outside to coordinate transferring activities including field operations, oil movement.
- Monitored and ensures the proper functioning of the Emergency Shutdown System and Fire systems in coordination with maintenance. Initiates and ensures that overrides to the system are approved and appropriate work permits are issued. Disables overrides up on completion of required work.
- Coordinated overall maintenance activities of terminal station Floating roof tanks, Work permit system, Mainline (DMW -Japan, multistage) and booster pump(BPCL multistage &UT Pumps-Screw ) maintenance.
- Carried out Pigging Launching and Receiving Operations throughout CCPL from Intermediate pigging stations.
- Supervised the timely preparation of a variety of activity reports and documentation.
- Ensured all work is carried out in accordance with HSE rules and regulations.
- Posses sound knowledge of SAP, R3 Production Module for applications.
Takes charge of operations in case of emergencies and contacts emergency team as soon as possible.
The oil pipeline runs from Mangala Processing Terminal (MPT) near Barmer via Viramgam (Gujarat) to Salaya (AGI 33) with a possible extension to the Arabian Sea Coast. Total length is 591 km. The 24” crude oil pipeline is insulated with polyurethane foam (PUF) and sealed with an outer jacket of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) to protect the insulation. One small diameter steel pipes shall be attached to the oil pipeline to carry the skin effect current heating cables for maintaining temperature for free flow of Crude, for generation of Power for heating via Conduction, 8 ‘’ standard gas line runs parallel to 24” crude line, All operations are supervised and control by SCADA, DCS and PLC operations.
- Supervised, monitor and controlled the safe and efficient operations for the receipt, storage, and measurement and Transfer of Mangla crude oil.
- Coordinated maintenance and shutdown requirements to ensure operation of assigned facilities is running smoothly.
- Supervises the timely preparation of a variety of activity reports and documentation.
- Took charge of operations in case of emergencies and contacts emergency team as soon as possible.
- Shouldering the responsibility of executing erection, commissioning, testing of Horton Spheres.
- Monitored hydro testing of Spheres, Nitrogen Purging before handing over to operations.
- Played a pivotal role during hydro testing of LPG Spheres, hydro testing & cardboard blasting of product line, GAIL product line and road gantries and Pumps.
- Managing
o Planning and effecting preventive & predictive maintenance / overhauling / repair schedules of various machineries & instruments to increase machine as well as equipment reliability.
o Conditional monitoring of critical equipments.
o Coordinated with maintenance dept for carrying critical shut down jobs in LPG area.
o SAP system for notification, Stock reservation, PM module, QM module etc.
o Issuing work permits and reviewing work progress, normalization with prime objective of Safety.
- Significantly contributed to Gail Hookup Terminal Facility at EOL.
o Prepared SOPs for ensuring the work in LPG area.
o Carried out calibrations and installation of PSVs, Massflowmeter.
o Participated in safety surveys, providing suggestions on safety status as and when required.
o Well versed in estimation of consumables and supervising a team of required manpower for scheduled jobs.
ZIOL is a joint venture company between Zuari Industries Ltd. and German based Oil tanking Ltd. ZIOL provides services to Zuari Industries, BPCL, HPCL. Joined as Trainee and rose to the position of Operation Officer in Apr’06 .
The Significant Contributions;
- Carried out construction phase of Dome roof, Cone roof, Internal floating roof atmospheric tanks at the site.
- Effectively handled the maintenance of Centrifugal pumps and fire pumps, screw pumps.
- Handled maintenance of gate, globe, butterfly valves and safety valves, re-calibration of PSVs, ARVs.
- Regular maintenance of Tank farm, Road gantries, loading arms, PD meters.
- Carried out operation and maintenance at jetty and booster operations and 20”x14kms CCPL.
- Attended safety committee meetings and implemented the points.
- Updating of history cards of various equipments.
The Significant Contributions;
- Carried out erection and commissioning and testing of LPG storage bullets, mechanical scales, LPG filling guns.
- Carried out erection and commissioning of LPG Filling Units and streamlined the operations to achieve desired productivity.
- Gained proficiency in JDE environment for the daily transactions.
