• Conduct monthly management meetings with principal’s Regional heads to review the KPIs as agreed and present action plans for any shortfalls.
• KPI monitoring through daily MIS / reports & update the management on a regular basis.
• Parts pricing, retail, trade, dealer & bulk discounts to ensure overall gross & net margins.
• Introduction, implementation & regular review of SOPs used in the warehouse as regards receipts, inspection, binning & picking, claims, dispatches etc.
• Monitoring of warranty parts returns & scrapping
• Liaison with CRM team in case of issues related to CS & Consumer Protection Dept.
• Stock control & ordering, parts movement, ageing, obsolescence & scrapping, seasonal & special order parts & accessories
• Monitoring VIN related parts for Service Actions, Recalls & Tech. Bulletins
• Setting up & monitoring of parts Service Rate, First Pick, Stock Turn, Stock Months etc.
• Annual performance reviews and implementation of PIP (performance improvement plan) if necessary.
• Aligning Parts pricing & policies based on market surveys, analysis, feed-back & geo-political conditions.
• Supervision of perpetual & annual stock check and auditing.
• Regular follow up and monitoring of on-line staff trainings especially for principal companies and internal trainings.

Accomplishments
• Successfully completed brand-wise segregation of parts & redesigned the warehouse layout considering the average demand of parts, physical movement, size, shape & weight of parts that improved the overall warehouse operations. This was also completed in line with the brand standards.
• Introduced the concept of pre-picked service kits that enhanced the efficiency & reduced the parts delivery time.

Liaison with Honda and Volvo Regional offices.

Assessment of Manpower requirements / selection of suitable candidates through formal interviews and HR procedures.

Ensuring a fair Performance Development Review process from the object setting level to the year- end assessments.

Planning and management of Inventory, flow charting of warehouse activities, timely dispatches of consignments to Branches and streamlining of overall stores operations.

Managed to implement various systems to monitor Parts Fill Rate and subsequent corrective measures which resulted in the increase of First Pick from 92 % to 96% in 3 years.

Measures to ensure steady growth of the Stock Turn and reduction of obsolescence.

Continuous tracking of currency fluctuations which affects importing costs of parts to ensure minimum adverse effect on the gross margins.

Controlling the landing costs to achieve increased Gross Margin by 1.5 % in the first year and by 2.5 % in the second in 2008 / 2009.

Continuous improvement in the internal processes and co-ordination with Service Centers and the Body shop to increase the share of their business.

Ensuring of realistic Warranty Landing factors and managing the landing costs within the same.

Stock Management and control of obsolescence of parts through Buy Back requests to principals, special promotions and liquidation of stock through Dealers / workshops. Managed to bring the obsolescence down by 4 % within 1 year. The surplus fund was utilized to increase the parts availability through improved stocking.

Promotion of Accessories through continuous dialogue with the sales dept. and the principals. I was able to introduce a number of new Accessories such as reverse sensors, blue tooth kits, multimedia units, DVD players, Navigation units, body styling kits etc.

Introduction of rationalized pricing for major fleet customers and dealers to ensure price uniformity.

Efforts to ensure a healthy and competitive atmosphere within the Department.

Design and implementation of novel incentive / reward schemes for staff motivation and recognition of individual efforts.

Implementation of Parts Pricing policies in consultation with the Finance Manager and the After Sales Manager to ensure the achievement of the annual budgets.

Staff annual appraisals.

Interaction with the internal and external auditors to make sure that the required overall controls are in place / introduced if required.

The stock of Honda was over 8, 000 lines with stock turn of 4.5/ Obsolescence (parts not sold for the past 4 years) was 1.5% // 60% of stock was within 160 days.

Overall stock of 18, 000 lines.
