Currently, I am heading the Internal audit and the Information technology departments of the company. From this financial year, additional responsibility of looking over of the operations of the Corporate Quality department is been added.
Started as AGM - Internal audit and within a span of around 8 years was given 3 promotions.
Under Internal audit, reporting to the audit committee of the company and the job responsibility include preparing audit plans, driving and guiding auditors to adhere to the plan, attending audit kick off and the closing meeting, providing internal controls efficiency information to the top management, presenting to the audit committee the audit finding and also conducting special assignments.
The Information Technology department was added to the profile in the year 2009. The role over here is to oversee and manage the team of developers and guiding them for implementation as also technology evaluation, migration and facilitate quick and reliable decision making.
Role here included drawing up audit plans and programs for a couple of large companies and providing guidance and driving a team of 10 internal auditors for carrying out audit assignments.
My responsibilities included carrying out Audits, investigations and special assignments for the group according to Annual Audit Program. Independent charge of Automotive division’s audits and compliance testing was given since July 2003.
The focus was on checking compliance with the corporate policies and procedures and suggesting avenues to reduce costs, tighten controls, and achieve optimal usage of the ERP systems etc.
As a stand in for Finance Personnel, additional responsibility of signing Quotations and preparing tender documents for Vehicle Sales was also given
Achievements
Added to the Finance company’s bottom line by recommending alternate financing possibilities.
Investigation at Automotive Services helped in reducing the spares parts inventory by 10%.
Investigation of GSM Sales at a Showroom helped in plugging revenue leakage
Job responsibilities included undertaking review of Systems, Operations Audit and also Special Assignments. The emphasis was mainly on examining the prevailing systems and testing efficiency and adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures, compliance with applicable Statutory Regulations, and inventory management systems.
Achievements
Suggesting improvements to the cash management system that resulted in savings of around USD 500, 00 per annum
Quality Assurance technical audits which helped the company to obtain a US FDA certification.
I am also a company secretary from the institute of the company secretary of India.
I am chartered accountant from Mumbai and have completed the course in 1st attempt. Industrial Training with IDBI, one of the country's largest financial institution.
Financed the entire graduation studies through National Merit Scholarship received on account of being ranked 54th in the Higher Secondary Certification exams
