Job Descriptions
Project activities
•Commissioned 192 MLD SWRO Desalination Plant in J3 Project of Reliance Industries Ltd in the year Dec 2016.
(Plant Scheme - Sea water pumping System-Clarifier-MGF-DISC Filter-UF-SWRO-BWRO-Permeate water pumping system, Supplier - IDE, Israel)
•Review of contractor design and drawings. Efficiently read and interpret the drawings, P&IDs, GA and process
documents and implement the deficiencies which are required process point of view.
•Have good understanding of process calculations, equipment sizing calculations, automation philosophy, FAT, instrumentation & PLC etc.
Operation activities
•Ensure operation of Pretreatment, DAFF, DISC filters, Ultra filtration and Desalination RO plant through PLC system.
•Manage the scheduled activities with the support of RO operators and ensure safe & efficient operation.
•Co-ordinate with departmental personnel for carrying out the planned/breakdown maintenance activities.
•Ensure effective implementation of RO O&M and approved SOPs.
•Maintain the operation documents and database, guide RO operator in preparation of daily generation of water and
consumption of chemicals.
•Fully conversant with plant operation in shifts with hands on experience on SCADA systems, reports, weekly & monthly
reports and other reports as required.
•Organize the use of man power in better utilization, ensures effective implementation of safety & discipline and SOP.
•Submit incident/trip reports to provide recommendations.
•Give training to staffs, take appropriate decision & direct plant operation during plant emergencies and prevent further
of deterioration.
•Trouble shooting of Clarifiers, DMF, Disc filters, Ultra filtration, Cartridge filters, SWRO, ERS & BWRO.
•Conversant with RO membrane normalization for its performance checking.
•Effective cost analysis for process and chemicals.
•Effective motoring of dosing system. Handling of hazardous chemicals and safety procedures.
•Conversant with RO membrane preservation and chemical cleaning.
•Permit system: - Involves isolation & normalization of system for enabling the maintenance to carry out their work
results in safety to men and machinery. Well conversant with SAP system and approver 1 role.
•Experience in firefighting operation line Hydrant, handling fire extinguishers and other safety tools.
•Health & Safety: Have profound knowledge of activities like Work at height, Confined space, line break, Incident
Command system (ICS), First aid for causalities, Safety audits, Pre-startup Safety audits (PSSR). Being the leader for
CASHe (Change Agent for safety & health), carry out project activities for plant and train the team under CAS
(Competency Assurance system) of employees
Job Descriptions
•Preparation of Post-Order documents and BEPs.
•Review the project technical documentation and the contractual requirements.
•Prepare the pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up and handing over procedures.
•Prepare the test run (performance test) procedures and the operating manuals of different equipments.
•Prepare the commissioning spare parts list and consumables list.
•Finalization of control and operation philosophy, mass & energy balances, hydraulics and other
engineering documents.
•Analysis of system configuration in terms of process conditions, equipment sizing, process efficiency &
productivity in line with latest technologies.
•Carryout HAZOP and risk review studies at different phases of the project.
•Preparation of Process datasheets, Control Philosophy, Submission of documents to the client/consultant for
approval, FAT etc.
•Preparation of O&M Manuals, commissioning Manuals
•Preparation of standard Operating Manuals for Commissioning
Job Profile Include
•Erection & Commissioning of RO Plants, Softeners, DM plants, ACF, MGF, EDI & UV Sterilizer.
•Good hand in water treatment Chemicals related to RO Plant, DM plant, Cooling Tower & Boilers.
