- As a member of the Service Strategy team, I have managed and/or led various projects involving the development of new applications, enhancing existing applications, developing system integrations, data migrations and supporting operations and continuous improvement.
- Led the design, development and testing of the Harley-Davidson eCommerce site (www.harley-davidson.com/store/). With the eCommerce program, we changed the model from a dealer fulfilled model to a Harley-Davidson fulfilled model. This helped us increase the eCommerce sales from $5M in 2011 to $19M in 2012 and we are on target to reach $100M in sales in 2016. This new eCommerce program also helped increase site traffic by almost 400% and improve customer service since we started providing customer service at the corporate level verses it being at the dealer level in the old eCommerce program.
- Managed all aspects of the eCommerce application development including the web and mobile site development, Master Data Management, Search, Product Catalog & Image Management, Cross-Sells & Upsells, Order Management, Invoicing, Inventory Management, Payment Processing, Fraud Prevention, Taxation, Address Verification & Shipping, Licensed Products & Drop Ship, 3PL, Discounts & Promotions, Returns & Exchanges, Product Ratings, Reviews and Q&A.
- Led the Price Book Project for the US and Australian Dealerships. Through thorough analysis, I helped reduce the delivery time by 5 months, thereby reducing the project costs by over $300K.
- Led the Wholesale Inventory Management project which helped create a global and flexible supply chain that is capable of supporting the dealer network, global e-commerce channel and other retail channels. This program helped implement global supplier replenishment capability to all HDMC distribution centers worldwide and enhance supplier direct to international subsidiaries and direct market dealers. This program also helped create a forecasting and planning process that is managed centrally based on regional and global data and it improved forecasting and planning techniques that reduced inventory investment and transportation costs, optimized global inventory based on holding and handling.
- Led the Retail Inventory Management project. This program helped improve return on inventory investment for both HDMC and dealers and provided less exposure to obsolete stock for dealers. This program also improved product assortment and availability which resulted in increased cash flow for dealers.
- Managed the requirements and scope and led the development and testing efforts for various other projects including SAP CRM CONNECT, SAP Master Data Management, SAP Interaction Center, Third-Party Logistics, North America Free Trade Zone Project, Part Number Format Change Project, Bike Builder Project and Reports Enhancements.
- Managed the SQL Server Database Migration Project for the Parts, Accessories and Customization Team.
- Managed multiple large scale System Integration projects involving systems located in a number of data centers and countries around the world encompassing systems such as SAP, IBM WebSphere Commerce, MDM, DataStage, EDW, Business Objects, Business Intelligence, AS/400 and various cloud applications.
- Hired team members, developed the work breakdown structure, assigned tasks and managed the deliverables of 20+ direct reports and several vendors such as InfoSys, Ascendant and CrossView.
