Installing, operating, maintaining and repairing AAS equipment including AAS maintenance procedures, repair parts and all materials necessary to install, operate and maintain each energy absorbing system net engaging barrier or hook cable support system.
Ensures arresting systems are fully operational and responds to arresting systems issues. Performs inspections of in-service pendant cables daily and after each engagement; develops use and inspection log for each new cable and records data and pertinent details of each trim operation.
Tapes, suspension straps and barrier webbings; pavements adjacent to and beneath the AAS cables, and establishing Effective Pendant Height (EPH).
Reports status of AAS equipment to Air Traffic Control via Radio.
Maintains all relevant documentation and records for maintenance and inspections in a log book Complies with SGH Safety, Health and Hazard policies and procedures Highly knowledgeable in Diesel engine electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Maintaining and troubleshooting various kinds of heavy equipment; Container handlers, Rough Terrain Forklifts, and loaders. Track equipment and facilitate out going equipment Ability to read blue prints, engineer plans, architectural drawings, Schematics, and Technical Service/ Parts manuals to entirety Tasked to repair and replace equipment parts such as drums, seals, gears, rods, hydraulic pumps and electric motors.
Responsibilities of fabricating and assembling components related to heavy industrial machinery Perform the tasks of repairing and replacing pistons, bearings, crankshafts, hydraulic drivers, pumps and clutches
Perform daily inspection and operational test of emergency arresting gear and optical landing systems.
Maintain and adhere to applicable technical orders and commercial practices for all maintenance actions to include : ordering parts;
Installing, programming, calibrating, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing and barrier operational systems.
Provide recurring scheduled preventative maintenance and non-recurring, as required, maintenance actions to include record keeping, analysis of records to correct non-optimal practices, issuance of reports, monitoring warranties, periodic operation and inspection of idle equipment, preservation, cleaning, lubrication and adjustment of equipment.
Request parts through government established processes, receive parts and install.
Maintenance actions will include all work except major overhauls that require system removal and are accomplished by a repair depot.
Multi task and work in a high paced environment. Work with a sense of urgency to complete tasks safely, effectively and efficiently.
Provide barrier repair training to specified military personnel on a semi-annual basis.
Responsible for comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program.
Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.
Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools)
Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
