Performs post flight duties such as lost and found, and security checks
Performs triaging in consideration of the urgency of the patients’ complaint and advanced assessment of all patients.
Transcribes and implements doctor’s orders.
Performs independent nursing interventions utilizing the nursing process framework.
Makes a timely escalation of required medical interventions utilizing the nursing process framework.
Administers medication, blood and blood components with knowledge of the cause and effects thereof.
Ensures that all supplies and medical devices are adequate
Maintains the principle of Environment of Care, collaboration and teamwork
Assesses patient and significant others’ learning needs and educate on patient‘s health needs as necessary
Performs proper documentation of all pertinent observations and patient care rendered.
Observes patient confidentiality at all times
Attends to personal and professional development through attendance to trainings and seminars
Notifies all doctors of their admission, referrals and discharges promptly
Collaborates with ancillary services, pharmacy, dietary, laboratory, billiong office, and other patients’ requirements that they need to provide.
Prepares equipments and instruments needed and assists the physician in the actual treatment of the patient such as : rectal / vaginal examinations, thoracentesis / thoracostomy tube insertion, lumbar puncture, peripheral or central line insertion and other bedside invasive procedures.
