Preparation of company operating expenditure budget (OPEX) in liaison with the budget committee.  Monthly monitoring of budget through Cost Centre expense reports.  Approval of purchase requisitions in line with approved budget allocation.  Processing of executive and middle management payroll by posting inputs and verification of outputs, (pay slips).  Processing of executive and middle management staffs’ documents for loan and advances (internal and external).  Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts (payroll).  Preparation of final payments for executive and middle management employees on separation (retiring, resigning etc.)  To ensure all company assets are fully insured and the group life assurance cover for employees is in place. The original cover notes issued by insurance companies are filed for future reference.  To ensure all policy documents and endorsements for insurance duly signed and kept.  Process all insurance payments and claims due.  Liaise with insurance companies and brokers if need arises on company insurance policies.  Any other duties assigned by the supervisor in line with the job description.  Supervise the Assistant Accountant and the Accounts Assistant (payroll).
