• Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts in consultation with the GM.
• Manages personnel and develops sales and sales support staff.
• Reviews progress of sales roles throughout the company.
• Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams.
• Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company’s products.
• Provides quarterly results assessments of sales staff’s productivity.
• Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results.
• Formulates all sales policies, practices and procedures.
• Assists sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with top echelon decision-makers.
• Collaborates with the GM to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.
• Interprets short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit.
• Collaborates with the GM to establish and control budgets for sales promotion and trade show expenses.
•Supervises a team of six cash van Sales Representatives.
•Assists the Sales Manager in leading, directing and motivating the sales team in order to achieve the overall corporate sales objectives.
•Handles customer requirements and communicates escalated issues to the sales manager.
•Assists the Sales Manager by completing all assigned duties.
•Advises on forthcoming product developments and discusses special promotions.
•Checks quantities of goods on display and in stock.
•Makes accurate, rapid cost calculations and provides customers with quotations.
•Attends team meeting and shares best practice with colleagues.
•Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
• Services existing accounts: obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors
• Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
• Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Listens to customers’ requirements and presents appropriately to make a sale.
• Bring in potential customers to prospect for new business.
• Negotiates on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers.
• Challenges any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy.
• Creates detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process that is largely dictated by the prospective customer.
• Reviews own sales performance, aiming to meet and exceed targets.
