• Initiate improvement to Maintenance Management Processes.
• Manage and lead the Team to an Effective, Efficient and Coordinated Maintenance Program ensuring overall smooth operation of Airport Facilities.
• Recognize and promote work site safety, quality and reliability in all activities introduced by Reliability Centered Maintenance/Quality Environment Health and Safety Department.
• Ensure that Department Targets and Bench Marks on Key Performance Index, on Operational as well as individuals assessment are met.
• Develop and maintain the comprehensive maintenance program and maintenance log sheets.
• Maintain and monitor written records of maintenance services.
• Plan and monitor all maintenance works and operations are being carry out in safe and efficient manner with no disruption to airport operation.
• Responsible for the effective execution of all maintenance, assigned task and improvement projects within the airport.
• Inspects and rectifies with routine and preventive maintenance of the electricity distribution substation equipment.
• Operates and maintains all types of switchgears and associated equipment such as outdoor and indoor type distribution transformers (Oil/Dry-Type), air-break switches, auto-recloser, and etc.
• Studies and analyzes faults in distribution network and take remedial action.
• Attends to emergency trouble shooting distribution network faults and ensure quick restoration of supply round a clock, whenever system fault happens.
• Operates and maintains the 33kV and 11kV distribution network systems.
• Issues safety documents and supervision.
• Ensure full compliance of staff, and all working parties to safety standards.
• Provide technical supervision and direction to the contractors or KAHRAMAA staffs carrying out substation maintenance, repairing and installation works.
• Performs other related duties as needed upon request by the Senior Substation Engineer.
• Supervise the departmental/contractors works as applicable, Testing and commissioning as per written procedures, work instructions and Safety aspects, in order to ensure site works are done as per quality standards and scheduled completion.
• Check material availability at stores based on Job Order, arrange equipment collection, transportation, installation as per procedures in order to complete the works as per schedule.
• Check Substation equipments before equipment transport and after installation, as per procedures in order to ensure DEWA quality standards.
• Collect work permit from System Operation Department, attend outages for substation equipment installation, uprating, modification, system voltage conversion, as applicable, as per procedure in order to complete the substation commissioning works.
• Certify the contractors daily completion reports based on site works as per procedure, in order to ensure certification of invoice.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress report.
• Monitors and inspects site work accomplished of contractors involving substation and transmission line structures and auxiliaries that ensure that these are in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and procedures of latest issue and those quality control requirements are met.
• Monitors and prepares reports regarding contractor’s workforce, status of construction, equipment and work schedule and manpower availability.
• Prepares and maintains an adequate daily log of construction activities and progress of work.
• Performs inspection on construction administration works involving portions of substations and transmission line structures including all temporary work facilities.
• Evaluates and dispositions non-conformances discovered on site and recommends stop of work orders as required.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Graduate
