Following and implementing the SOP-Standard Operating Procedure set forth by the HIA (Hamad International Airport) minor works project department
•Handling complete Mechanical department / services pertaining to the assigned projects
•Act as a Project Leader responsible to deliver the projects assigned to me from inception to completion.
•Accountable for the Cost, Quality and Time targets and manage the projects based on KPI trends
•Implementing the PMI guide to the project management involved at Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring& controlling and closing
•Few of the responsibilities as follows for the projects within HIA
•Upon the receipt of Project brief from PMO, Review and understand the requirement of stake holders and accordingly developing the scope of works for Initial concept design consultancy.
•Based on the concept design, preparing the tender pack and inviting the tenderers for the design and build contract
•Upon receiving and resolving the Technical Queries obtaining the quotation from the tenderers
•Prepare the Technical review (TER), commercial review (CER) over the Tenderer's documents and provide recommendations to PMO office
•Upon selection of the contractor, prepare a stake holder list and inviting them for a kick off meeting wherein explain all the Process, procedures, PTW, Tack out& lock out, Safety, Storage etc..
•Prepare the Stake holder matrix, Communication matrix, Schedule, cost, risk matrix and keep as a live document
•Upon the selection of Design and Build contractor, conduct Site Custodial survey meeting among the Contractor and HIAs FM team to make sure all the existing systems, services are active and record any deficiency identified.
•Conducting weekly progress meeting to discuss about the status of site progress, Earned value, KPI, risk, opportunities, status of project documents like design drawings, shop drawings, Method statement, Inspection test points, Material submittal, etc.. And find out a solutions to keep the KPI
•Coordinating with several in-house FM, Operational, Takeover team mates for all the required coordination and supports to run the project smoothly
•Review of Project documents and provide comments on-time
•Share and collect the required documents among in-house PMCM Team and respond back to Contractor / consultant on time
•Few of the responsibilities as follows for the Restaurant / Kitchen projects within HIA:
•Restaurant / Kitchen stake holders are having their own designer and as a Teammate, I coordinate with the kitchen designer and obtain his requirement in a conceptual design
•Prepare a scope of works for the supply and installation for Kitchen equipments and inviting a tenderers
•Prepare a scope of works to invite MEP design and build contractor to design and execute the utility services for the Kitchen equipments
•Obtain and review the design documents from the designer to ensure the HIA compliance
•Coordinate with Building contractor to provide a tie in points at all the retails/ restaurants/ kitchen as per the tenant requirements
•Share the building contractor's drawings to the individual tenants for them to tie-in and continue inside his lease limit
•Few of the responsibilities as follows for the projects outside the HIA maintained by QDF:
•A project was completed and does not have any authority approval hence shop couldn't opened. To overcome this, as an Assigned team leader,
•Collected all the Maintenance integration documents and develop a scope of works in order to release the tender for QRC
•Upon receiving and resolving the tender queries, prepared the TER, CER for the tenderers and provided recommendation to the PMO
•Upon the selection of QRC, carryout all the needed cooperation from QDF to QRC to get Authority inspections, approvals, certificates.
General:
•Review and complete the response to Contractor's submittals related to HVAC, Water supply, Drainage, Fire Protection (Material submittals, Design / Shop / As built drawing, Method Statements / ITP / Risk Register, T&C Reports / Test Packs, O&M Manuals, Project closeout documents), Get done the list of deferred works, Monitoring the Progress and Resolving any Site issues, Progressive based inspections, Facilitating the QCDD inspection, Coordinating with other contractors for the interface issues and assuring the Compliance to (ER) Employer Requirements through daily site surveillance inspection reports, Meetings, Quality Observation reports, Safety Observation reports, PMC Surveillance Checklists, Site deficiency report, Non Compliance report, Progress Tracker, Pre QCDD Inspections and site walks.
•Review of contract documents for its technicality, constructability and raise RFI (Request for information) for any anomoly and followed-up till gets resolved
•Review, recommend / approve the Pre Qualification of related sub contractors, Specialists for the project
•Handling all the MEP related Site Activities, Manage the Site Engineers, Discipline Engineers in order to keep the KPI by delivering the Contractors deliverables by the stipulated time frame through continuous monitoring, follow-up and guidance.

•Manage / Attend inspections during Execution, Testing and commissioning of Mechanical systems and Life safety systems such as HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage services, related Building Management system / interfaces, Fire Protection system, Fire Alarm system, Building Transportation system ( Elevator, Escalator and Travellator), Staircase pressurization system, Smoke management system, Tunnel ventilation system, Linear Heat detection system, VESDA, and provide relevant observation comments with substantiation from the codes and standards.
