Manages all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to
the final figures. Seeks to minimize the costs of a project and enhances value for money, while still
achieving the required standards and quality; covering some mechanisms and scopes to
prepare/produce cost estimate like materials, man-hour or labor rates, check the input and output
by producing written report and analysis.
* Estimates and/or prepares the following: Bill of Quantities (B.O.Q.) / Materials Quantity Take - Off,
Variation Order, Overrun/Under run and Unit Price Analysis necessary for the construction of
horizontal and vertical structures particularly on construction and engineering costs. Also prepares
necessary documents / project’s sub-contractor monthly billing evaluation and Payment
Certificates; and provides the actual incurred costs flow on: labor costs, material costs and
equipment rentals costs, which are necessary for the billing purposes.
* Prepares tender and contract documents, including BOQ (Bills of Quantities) with the architect
and/or the client; preparing and analyzing, costing for tenders. Undertakes costs analysis for repair

and maintenance project work; assisting in establishing a client’s requirements and also
undertakes feasibility studies;
* Allocates work to subcontractors; provides advice on contractual claims; analyzes outcomes and
writing detailed progress reports; valuing completed work and arranging payments; maintaining
awareness of the different building contracts in currentuse; pays attention to detail and spot errors;
* Performs risk and value management and cost control; Partly takes role on procurement strategy;
identifying, analyzing and developing responses to commercialrisks;
* Performs jobs necessary in Subcontract Administration activities, and do some negotiations with
Subcontractors; oversees the flow of contracts, construction management, commercial aspects and
site related flow of works in executing projects.
* Manages / supervises the implementation of the proposed horizontal and vertical projects at the
site and monitor its progress basing through the prepared construction schedules/pert C.P.M. and
S-Curve (manpower deployment, equipment’s utilization and materials consumption);
* Monitors the critical activities or various occurrences within the construction premises to wit:
mobilization/demobilization, shop drawing and detailing preparation, earthworks (trench and
common excavation, embankment, backfilling and compaction, sand and gravel bedding), massive
pouring of concrete, reinforcing bar work and schedules, shoring, pipe laying and interconnections,
dewatering, formworks, structural works, plain iron/galvanized iron - aluminum - glass works,
embedded and non-embedded mechanical and electrical works, exterior and interior architectural
works/fill - outs/finishing, general painting, testing and commissioningworks;
* Handles processing of daily correspondence related to most of scopes of works intended in
exchange between subcontractors;
* Understands the implications of health and safety regulations relating to every scope of works
within the project; supervises and handles residential / commercial structures from excavation,
earthworks to finishing stage;
* Modifies / establishes every phase of construction activities according to specified construction
plan-design configurations, details and standard specifications stated. Provides the daily and
monthly construction progress reports and other important data for documentary records to be
encoded on the computer for files, transmittals and references;
* Prepares designs and provide drafting works on architectural, structural, sanitary, electrical and
mechanical plans including details and specifications. Furnishes revision of plans and details
according to actual surveyed dimensions or suggestions and comments of the owner of project or
the immediate superior of the company;
* Executes the critical methodology on actual appraisals of accomplishments whether the activity
involved is beyond quality control or assured to be under undesirable condition of work. Visualizes,
pass or reject the productivity of every working man as well as the equipment being utilized on the
jobsite basing from the quality requirements of the work rendered, otherwise, can push through
disciplinary actions on non - conformance of the workaccomplished;
* Bestows time accordingly on coordinating with the project’s owner, immediate superior or the
company’s representative intending the project implementations, governing agreements and other
acts imposed on the contract;
