General oversight on the operations activities within the Mombasa duty station
point of export to ensure smooth flow of products to customers.
▪ Oversee Quality control of products handled for export at the Mombasa duty sta-
tion.

tional Excellence within the laboratory team.
▪ Conduct analysis of raw materials and products in both the soda ash and salt processing
plants to ensure best quality standards are maintained.
▪ Conduct chemical safety and security training to the company staff during open training
days.
▪ Participate in the research and development to conduct experiments on various projects
for product diversity and improvement.
▪ Develop Lab Technicians in all aspects of their work (perform instrument maintenance,
provide process troubleshooting support, knowledge of process chemistry.
▪ Provide technical information/feedback related to product inquires or complaints.
▪ Ownership of all laboratory equipment preventive maintenance schedule and calibration.
▪ Lead the development and implementation of the laboratory operating plan (budget, Key

▪ Carrying out routine and non-routine quality control analysis of raw materials
(Trona from the dredges), in-process (Liquor, Crushed refined soda), and final
product Soda ashproduct.
▪ Water treatment plant analysis of raw and treated water as well as advising on
required dosage of water chemicals after analysis of water parameter levels at the
mainlaboratory.
▪ Setting up experiment station to conduct acid descaling of the industry boiler pre-
mium ash plant by titration of boiler blowdown.
▪ Carrying out laboratory experiments with varied conditions with in manufacturing
process products to guide operators od standards to raise quality of product and
lower impurity levels on the final products.
