Examining-order investigation-referral
Administration of general and local anesthesia to surgical and non-surgical procedure patients under consultant supervision or alone.
Interprets and records patient's physiological and pharmacological status. To provide continuity of care during the pre-op, intra-op and post-op period. To Responds to life-threatening situations as required.
Other duties and responsibilities will be as follows.
1. Evaluates patient's condition and recommends anesthetics to be used.
2. Administers local, intravenous or other anesthetics following specified methods and procedures.
3. Reviews patient's chart and other information; to evaluate physical status and anesthesia risk.
4. Observes condition of patient during surgical procedures; initiates remedial measures to prevent surgical shock or other adverse conditions as required.
5. Documents anesthesia notes on patient records.
6. Perform duties as required.
