This event, sponsored by Valcucine® kitchen manufacturer and articulated into four trimestrial cycles, involves groups of six architects in each phase.
My participation has been planned for the second cycle (from September to December 2013).

I took part in the construction of an olive oil production plant, the design of which conformed to bioarchitectural principles (using straw bales for the external walls and earthen plaster).
The building site was organized by Panta Rei, an association committed to promoting sustainable criteria in Architecture as well as other professional tasks.

- monorail service connecting the city of Catania to neighboring towns;
double family houses in Mascalucia and Gravina, Catani
- conversion of an old municipal building (the “Ex Telefoni di Stato” building in Raddusa, Catania) into
a senior center.

I increased my knowledge about Public Works during my activities in the office.

During university studies I assisted the Sicilian architect and painter Benedetto Poma in the design of a
soccer field and “Piazza Dante”, a public square in the municipality of Mascalucia, Catania.
These works were conducted through on-site inspections as well as through design studio activities.
Both projects have come to fruition.
