Engineer’s Office (EO) is a semi-government organization established in 1994 and into Construction & Facilities Management Services (FMS) for properties owned by or under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (Ruler of Dubai and Vice President & Prime Minster of UAE). Reporting to the Director of Facilities Management, I was in charge of managing the FM operations for royal properties through a combination of in-house staff and outsourced contracts.
Starting my tenure as Maintenance Engineer, I was promoted to Senior Operations & Maintenance Engineer in 2006. The FMS division has a diverse workforce of many different nationalities and I had a team of engineers & supervisors reporting to me. Properties managed are of various sizes and importance in geographically different sites. These are mainly state-of-the-art private properties and commercial enterprises that include palaces & associated estates, island complexes, residential & office buildings, villas, horse racing complexes, veterinary hospitals etc.
