As an Assistant Financial Controller, My Job responsibilities are Supporting the financial management and reporting functions within the organization. Your responsibilities encompass a range of critical tasks aimed at ensuring accurate financial data, compliance with regulations, and effective decision-making.
Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide management with a clear understanding of the companys financial position.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborating with the Financial Controller to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts, Analyzing variances, and providing insights to support strategic planning and resource allocation decisions.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other legal requirements by staying abreast of changes in regulations and proactively addressing any compliance issues.
Bookkeeping: Maintaining day-to-day transactions, process the invoices, bank reconciliations, POS
Accounts payable and Accounts Receivable Reconciliation
Familiar with Accounting softwares like Tally ERP, Odoo & other ERP Software.
Preparing GST returns.
• Executed risk-based statutory audit integrated with / without testing of internal controls over financial reporting, internal and tax audits of listed, unlisted and private companies
• Assisted the engagement team in planning, risk assessment and completion stages of an audit
• Extensive experience in accounts preparation and submission to external auditors for companies with a turnover exceeding 100 million HKD in Hong Kong.
• Exposure in audits and reviews of various entities operating in the following sectors:
• Trading Infrastructure - BOT and ESCO Manufacturing industries - Spectacle Frame and Fish net, automotive components
• Critical level skill exposure in the following areas:
• Revenue recognition and inventory valuation of Manufacturing companies Accounting for service concession arrangements Accounting for leases Scrutiny of books of account
• Managed the engagement team during execution of audit of various companies and reported to the engagement partner during the lockdown imposed due to Covid19 pandemic
• Exposure in certification work of compliance for Manufacturing & Trading companies
• Impact assessment and presentation on Schedule III amendments and CARO 2020 to the clients
• Basic level knowledge in Tax planning of high-net-worth individuals
• Preparing Financial Statements and Audit Report as per Accounts.
• Preparing budgeting and forecasting for various projects and initiatives.
• Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) gained through practical experience.
• Extensive expertise in Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations and compliance.
