AL Futtaim Engineering - (Project Quantity Surveyor & Management Representative for Scaffolding Division)
• Assist Commercial Manager with timely submission of valuations and final accounts.
• Understand the contractual requirements of project documents including the roles and responsibilities of all involved and the notices required to record change etc. Ensure all required notices are issued in a timely manner.
• Identify unacceptable terms and conditions and negotiate contracts with clients and employers.
• Liaise with the customer, his representatives and other 3rd parties on commercial issues, including the agreement of additional monies.
• Evaluate Variations, Claims, Damages, and Contra-charges and responsible of reporting same through proper timely correspondence to contractor’s and ensure company interests.
• Preparation of Monthly Cost Reports & weekly Payment tracker as per Company formats and responsible for production & submission of reports to Management in targeted timely manner.
• Requesting the client/Consultant to release a (Variation order /New LPO) if any work carried out on site apart from the scope of work.
• Proper valuation of variation in line with the contract’s terms and conditions.
• Demonstrated effective negotiation with client for settling final account within target set.
• Meeting the Client/Consultant QS and reconcile the cumulative monthly movement and sort out their quires in the Invoice and help them to process our payments at the earliest.
• Maintain a good relationship with the customer commercial department by improving customer satisfaction.
• Deals with the Group Legal department for legal cases where the client refuses to pay when all Contractual document are in place
• Has successfully passed the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Lead Auditor Course conducted by DNV - (DET NORSKE VERTAS) an ICRA Certificate.
• Conduct Internal Audit between the Al Futtaim Engineering Divisions every 3 months.
AL Futtaim Carillion LLC - (Quantity Surveyor)
• The key responsibilities associated with this role are cost planning at all stages of design, interim valuations, managing change control, financial reporting and final accounts.
• Monitor contract costs against agreed budgets - company financial reporting like Cost report, liability statement etc,
• Prepare and issue certification for contract payments to sub-contractors
• Identify potential risks and evaluate options for control by doing Contra charges to Sub Contractor’s.
• Identifying variation apart from the contract and claiming from the client.
• Prepare and agree interim valuations
• Worked on Insurance claims like Rain Damage’s & EOT
• Negotiate and progress the resolution of disputes
• Monitor contract compliance against statutory requirements
• Initiate, monitor and progress contractual arrangements
• Ensure compliance with quality, environmental and safety objectives
