Managing the overall production of Float glass, pattern glass for Architectural, Automotive, Mirror and Tempering products.
Managing overall shopfloor activities which Includes Unloading area, Batch house, Furnace, Tin bath, Cold end, ware
House, shipping, maintenance, Quality control, Mirror line, Pattern line etc. in accordance with plant policies and procedures
Responsible for shift schedule which includes: work station assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
Handling a team of more than 70 peoples of different nationalities such as Saudis, Philippines, Egyptians, Sri Lankans, Turkish etc to ensure strict adherence of operating procedures in shop floor
Working on parameters for maximizing yield, minimizing overtime, nullifying safety incidents, ensuring quality products, lowering C.O.P, developing skilled manpower’s.
Implementing Lean Management, TPM, TQM, and ISO 9001:2008, 5s, kaizan on shop floor.
Involved in Lean six sigma project to reduce the number of defects in operation
Ensuring smooth functioning of overall operations, enhance operational efficiency and cost optimization
Determining KPI and appraisal for operators, technicians, Team leaders and superintendents.
Significant Highlights
• Acting as a team member for pattern line production enhancement from 130 tons/day to 150 tons/day, achieved the desired target before dead line
• Significantly reduced the controllable loss ( cutting, handling, lite miss, size change etc) during shift operation
• Zero safety incidents & drop cases throughout during shift operation, achieved by strict discipline in shop floor
• Mirror line supplier loss, trim loss, significantly reduced by strict adherence to operating procedures

Responsibilities include troubleshooting of criticalities and performing operational activities of the pot line with maximum efficiency.
Planning, Organizing and coordinating for shift activities like Anode change, Metal tapping, Covering, Redressing and shift measurement (temperature, bath sampling, measure liquid bath and metal heights, current distribution) with proper co-ordination among the team members to achieve highest export grade metal producing pots.
Implementation of continuous work quality audits, evaluating the operational shortfalls and its rectification by strictly following the SOPs.
Manpower allocation, material planning, inventory control, Implementation of ISO9002 & ISO14001 norms, TPM, 5’S, OHSAS, EMS and other activities.
Process control as per parameter set by Technical section i.e. Bath level, Metal tapping, Bath temperature& Bath Ratio.
Handling of Abnormal Pot like high temperature, Noisy & Red cell pot.
Maintaining General Housekeeping and to minimize anode effect
Arrange vehicles for transportation of Metal, Anode, butt, copper-bar when requirement.
Reporting about shift working and production, man power safety etc.to Room In charge & line In charge.
Handling wide gamut of tasks like:
a. Allocating work to team members depending upon their responsibility.
b. Mentoring the team members of production team and maintaining various reports and updating the same to Higher Management.
c. Organizing customized training programs based on the training need analysis and providing employee coaching & counselling, appraising and reviewing performance, ensuring optimum performance.
• Pot room Planning
Process troubleshooting and stabilizing operation for increase quality production, decrease C.O.P. and optimization of the usage of raw materials.
Active Team member for setting up the Business Plan.

Anaerobic Digestion (Final Year Engineering Project) Scope: The project was about treatment of waste effluent from different industries. Industrial Training Organization: Bhilai Steel Plant, Bhilai Scope: The internship project endowed practical knowledge of treatment of Coke Oven Gases in Coke Oven Department and purification of oxygen from atmospheric air in oxygen plant. Academia ✦ BE (Chemical) from Raipur Institute of Technology, Raipur, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University in 2006. Secured 74.2% marks.
