In this Leadership Role, I am responsible for the management and oversight of a professional team that accomplishes Procurement, Warranty Management, Stores Operations, and Inventory Management of the Canada Line operation.

Focusing on New Product Introduction from new and existing technologies my accountability include managing all procurement processes and activities during the entire product life cycle to ensure procurement milestone deliverables are met within the project budget and lead time constraints. My accountability also include managing key supplier relationships and performance metrics, evaluating sourcing strategies and the supply-chain fit for Océ/Canon products, and coordinating efforts between internal and external stakeholders. Also I am part of various global cross-functional teams at the group, mandated to assess supplier business models, technology capabilities, and capacity readiness.

Specific contract assignment to creating Central Procurement, Warehousing & Logistics organization at Future communications group.
Leading the Materials Management division (for Middle East and Africa Region - MEA) with responsibilities of material planning, vendor development, purchasing, logistics, supplier quality assurance, and inventory control.
Managed procurement for Kirby's Kuwait and Ras-Al-Khaima Plants with annual procurement budget ranging US$ 130 to US$ 140 Million (data for year 2008).
Also an administered / supported Materials Management function at Kirby’s other locations outside MEA, i.e. at Vietnam and at India (both Hyderabad and Haridwar plants in India).
Handling entire Imports certain Exports functions inclusive of liaison with Customs & other Government Offices, Clearance/ Forwarding Agents; documentation including Bonds, Bank Guarantees, Duty exemptions, Demurrages, etc.; and handling LC transactions.

Handling procurement of equipment & material for the manufacture of coated titanium metal anodes and cathodes for Mercury/ Membrane/ Diaphragm electrolysers, Electro chlorinators and Cathodic Protection systems of anti corrosion for offshore/ underground installations (on both project and product basis).
Administering import/ export activities, stores, scrap disposal and coordination with third party inspection agencies prior to export.

The Supply Chain Management Association of Canada, SCMA – formerly known as PMAC (The Purchasing Management Association of Canada) – is the leading and the largest association in Canada for the supply chain/procurement professionals and SCMP is the most sought after designation in supply chain/procurement management in Canada. It is the highest achievement in the field and the mark of strategic leadership. I am pursuing this program since September 2014 and have successfully completed year 1 of the program already. I am expected to complete the program by summer of 2017. The program requires completion of a number of online modules with a final exam for each module, attending a number of interactive workshops and completion of a final assignment at the end of each workshop, attending an in-resident week at the end, a final examination at the end and also maintaining the association membership in a good standing.
