● Monitoring and controlling the activities of QC and NDT inspectors.
● Carry out Inspection & Co-ordination with third part inspectors.
● Carry out and handle internal / external audits.
● Handle NCR and corrective and preventive actions.
● Visual inspection of all the manufactured items & welding inspection
● Maintain QHSE Management system to ISO 9001/ API Q1 Standard, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001
● Review of initial finding report for valves/ pumps refurbishment / repair and hydro test report in accordance with client specs or standard.
● Preparation of welding procedure specification, procedure qualification record and welder qualification
● Interface and coordinate with clients for QC matters and coordinate with third party inspection agencies for all related inspection activities
● Ensure the activities are carrying out as per agreed scope of work and ITP.
● Avail approval of project specific documents.
● Responsible for maintaining standards ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, API 6A/ 5LD/7-1/16A and ASME U, U2 and R code stamp for the company
● Ensure the calibration of equipments and gauges carried out as per the master list.
● Developing safety plans, method statements where applicable as requested by clients.
● Providing the tool box talks, safety touch and conduct the HSE trainings as per scheduled plan.
● Investigate the accident / incident / near misses and report, recommend appropriate corrective / preventive action.
● Review the client and project specification and arrange and submit the quality documents required by customer/ third part agencies like inspection test plan, Mill Test Certificate, inspection report, NDT Reports, welding inspection report and other destructive test reports like tensile test, impact test, etc.
● Preparation of hydro test packages.
● Welding inspection.
● Evaluating welding defects and investigates the root cause and recommend appropriate corrective / preventive actions. .
● Visual inspection of all the joints & welding inspection as per (AWS-CWI).
● Preparation of hydro test activities including test package preparation, internal cleaning, inspection at test pressure, dewatering and cleaning
● Review the NDT reports and interpret the NDT tests results as well as review the dimensional, finish products, assembly and welding inspection, galvanizing and painting reports .
● Preparation of welding procedure specification, procedure qualification record and welder qualification

● Prepares Quality Control procedures/ Check list, ITP according to project/ client requirements
● Preparing audit plan. Conducts the Internal Audits for QHSE Management System.
● Prepare Audit finding Summary report and submit to top management along with NCR
● Inspection starting from the inspection of materials to the final inspection and sign off.
● Inspection of blasted surfaces to the completion of all the painting work of various paint systems at the Air Separation Unit
● Insulation Inspection (hot, cold, regeneration and acoustic).
● Very thorough knowledge about paint systems of the company.
● Preparation of method statement and ITP for the blasting & painting
● Welding inspection of shop fabricated structural members.
● Visual inspection of all welded parts before painting.
● Preparation of RFI and conduct inspection as per ITP.
● after completion of painting prepare the surface for the installation of insulation.
● Supervise the insulation installation process as per the project specification and conduct inspection as per ITP.
●Measurement of ambient condition using Whirling Hygrometer and maintaining record of surface temperature, relative humidity, due point temperature etc.
● Measurement of blasted profile by using profile gauge, WFT by Comb gauge, DFT by Electronic DFT gauge, intercoat adhesion by Hart adhesion gauge, Salt contamination by brestle sample or elcometer 400, pin hole detection by holiday detectors etc.
● Conduct surveillance and report to the QC Manager regarding any non-conformance from the standard.
● Prepares monthly Quality Report and submit it to the Quality Manager.
● Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformance.
● Checking material specifications, review of Material Test Certificates (MTC) to ensure construction works are in compliance with quality standards and contract specification
● Prepares final quality documentation in accordance with the conditions of contract.
● Perform the quality control activities while installation and pre commissioning job.
●Supervising the maintenance activities at the Transport Operation and Maintenance Division of I.S.R.O, which include a fleet of more than 250 vehicles of various make. The division consists of various sections such as heavy vehicle maintenance section, light vehicle maintenance section, body building section, upholstery section, tyre section, water washing section etc.
●Arranging materials and equipment required for painting and insulation job.
●Supervision of painting and insulation activities.
●Arranging man power for all work activities.
●Preparing of invoices after completion of the job.
