Roles and Responsibilities as HSSE Lead/HSE Officer in a Facility Management Company:
1. Developing and Implementing HSE Policies: Develop, implement, and maintain Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. 2. Training and Awareness: Conduct HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and subcontractors to increase awareness of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and compliance requirements. 3. Risk Assessment and Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential health and safety risks in facility operations, including conducting risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety audits. 4. Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. Prepare detailed incident reports for management and regulatory authorities as required. 5. Emergency Preparedness and Response: Develop emergency response plans and procedures, conduct drills and exercises, and ensure the availability of emergency response equipment and resources to effectively respond to emergencies. 6. Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and codes of practice, and ensure corrective actions are taken to address non-compliance issues. 7. Safety Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and work practices to identify hazards, verify compliance, and implement corrective actions. 9. Safety Communication: Communicate safety policies, procedures, and initiatives to all employees and contractors through meetings, toolbox talks, safety bulletins, and other channels to promote a culture of safety. 10. Safety Culture Promotion: Promote a positive safety culture within the organization by encouraging employee involvement, recognition of safe behaviors, and continuous improvement initiatives. 11. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Management: Ensure the availability, proper selection, use, and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to protect employees from workplace hazards. 12. Environmental Management: Implement environmental management programs to minimize environmental impacts associated with facility operations, such as waste management, pollution prevention, and energy conservation. 13.
