I) In charge of the Group's global and local supply chain development, procurement and product management.
II) Designing and management of procurement parameters, policies and systems, most effective reordering systems, etc as per the best practices worldwide.
III) Build and Manage a strong knowledge of supply market conditions for sourcing the various subcategories of the products being handled and an extensive network of vendors and their offerings and unique strengths & weaknesses,
IV) Designing and implementing of supplier contracts, purchase orders etc
V) Designing and implementing of vendor performance and effectiveness systems .
VI) Overseeing the commercial aspects of the procurement process including the L/C, CAD processes, the insurance premiums and claims management etc .
VII) Managing the logistics aspects, including, warehousing, shipping, freight management, customs, documentation of the import procurement and export transactions .
VIII) Inventory planning and financial planning including budgeting relative to the procurement process.
IX) Product Development and product management - Development and launch of new products/product categories, providing the market support and to integrate successfully the same with the current product portfolio .
X) Overseeing the performance of various product categories and products, devise strategies for the same.
XI) Working closely with the strategic marketing teams to leverage and create profitable opportunities provided by favourable trends in various products.
XII) Inventory and Stores Management - Ensuring the implementing of best industry practises by the stores team.
XIII) Ensuring the best operational Matrix for the fleet management of the vehicles of the organisation.
XIV) Proper Training and development of all procurement, supplychain and logistics executives and managers to enable them to be the most productive.
XV) Ensuring the ideal staffing mix for the domains under my responsibilities.
Achievements :
Successfully established the new setup and was solely responsible for implementing the entire operational framework of the organisation in the domain of Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory Logistics and related human resources.
Arranged for credit facilities from International and Local Vendors.
Successfully managing an excellent inventory turnover ratio which is in line with global benchmarks.
Managing a “Just in Time” inventory model, with a mix of sharp procurement and prudent inventory holding pattern thus dramatically reducing the inventory holding budget .
• Responsible for Procurement ( both Imports and Local)for the entire group .
• Designing the Procurement model and also the supplychain model.
• Responsible for the Supply Chain Management for the entire group.
• Responsible for ensuring availability of stocks, effective merchandising of materials to derive maximum sales and customer satisfaction to the company.
• Inventory Planning by identifying products going out of stock and planning the regular imports / Procurement of the same as well as managing the local procurement by effective vendor management.
• New Product Development .
• Finalizing and Managing tie ups with vendors .
• Deciding on the pricing and positioning of all the various products/brands on a regular basis for the entire group .
• Managing the logistics of arranging, shipping, deliveries etc.
• Independently incharge of North Maharashtra region.
• Sales forcasting and Budgeting for the region.
• Responsible for achieving Sales and revenue targets of ACC Ltd in the region. Managing sales of over Rs. 50 crores per annum..
• Managing the sales channel network.
• Managing and developing the retail sales network.
• Promoting of different products of ACC like OPC cement, Blended cements, waterproofing compounds etc by organizing technical presentations to architects, builders, contractors, masons government corporations like PWD, Irrigation, Municipal corporations, Grampanchayats, Railway authorities etc.
• Managing the project and institutional sales segment which includes the builder, institutional and government segments .
• Managing the receivables or Outstandings.
• Managing, training & motivating a team of subordinate Sales officers& administration officers and officers of the C&F agents.
• Managing 4 warehouses .
• Logistics Management which includes managing the transportation Network, C&F Agents(4), Railways etc.
• Brand building and newproduct launches .
• Managing the advertisement and public relations activities.
