My current employer (Gates Engineering and Services FZCO) is dealing with Oil & Gas industry for Hydraulic and Pneumatic industrial equipment’s (Design & Build). Responsibilities:
•Ensures purchasing of all components (Structural, Hydraulic /Pneumatic (Pump, Engine, different kinds of valves etc and Electrical) are in compliance with regulations and laws related to purchasing practices to support the production schedule on timely basis
• Prepare technical specifications with the help of engineering design team and distribute for RFQ and RFP for all materials requirement to approved vendors.
•Ensure effective purchasing practice to be followed and generate cost saving reports (Historical saving, Technical Savings, Service Contract benefits, Vendor development etc) on quarterly basis.
•Submit estimation (either from GATES approved vendors list or as per client approved brands) for new inquiries as per BOM to engineering design team and ensure competitive offer with better lead time.
•Participate in weekly production review meeting, daily new order review meetings to ensure availability of components on time to facilitate production for smooth operation and keep informing to concerned department in case of any delays.
•Visit vendors frequently in order to understand properly their products range, capabilities, services and develop better understanding for continue long term business relationship.
•Attend exhibitions (ADIPEC, Middle East Electrical, Big 5 etc) in order to develop potential vendors for continuous improvement process.
•Ensure all components should be delivered with proper documentation (MTC, COC, COO, Test Reports, MSDS, and Warranty Certificates Etc) for quality assurance and in case of NCR (Non Conformance Report) make sure supplier clear it on time.
Action International Services LLC is offering Dewatering/Groundwater control, Pumping Solution, Heavy industrial specialized equipment rental and specialized piling technique from last more than 12-years throughout middle east (UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia) having more than 1000 equipment’s throughout the regions.
Responsibilities:
•Working in centralized procurement department and responsible to handle MRO (Maintenance, repair and operations) related procurements for engine brand Caterpillar, Perkin, Volvo, Cummins, Kirloskar, Ingersoll Rand, Hertz, Mody, BBA and other major brands for all regions (UAE, Qatar, KSA, Bahrain and Oman).
•Support the organization in sourcing decisions and will be responsible for Strategic sourcing of goods/services. Review requisitions, specifications and scopes of work to initiate comprehensive RFQ.
•Review requisitions, specifications and scopes of work to initiate comprehensive RFQ.
•Analyze the procurement spend and processes and make recommendations to increase procurement efficiency (bulk buying, etc.)
•Prepare Make or buy Analysis for CAPEX and recommend for most appropriate option.
•Prepare BOM (Bill of Material) for fabricated/CAPEX and analysis for various qualified suppliers quotations In order to reward projects to most suitable supplier.
•Work closely with Inventory team for optimal stock level, future requirements and need at project sites.
•Keep track of all orders at suppliers and make sure delivery should be on time in order to facilitate internal stakeholders.
•Prepare benefit analysis report from market development, vendor development and product re-design.
Saudi Aramco Project (JSDP- Jeddah Storm water Drainage Program) for 3-months.
Qatar Rail Project (Red Line and Green Line) for two and Half months.
I've worked for Qatar rail and Saudi Aramco projects, our scope was for dewatering, rental out heaving equipment (pumps, generator, tower lights HDPE pipe welding machine etc). During my stay I've handled for procurement of HDPE pipes and fittings, UPVC pipes and fittings, gate valves, butterfly valves, tools & hardware, spare parts (filters, mechanical parts, electrical parts etc) for Caterpillar, Perkin, Volvo, Cummins, BBA, Kirloskar, Mody etc engines. Calibration and testing of equipment’s. Fabrication material (MS & SS sheets, angle, c-channel, hollow bar etc.) and other daily requirements.
•The main responsibility is to ascertain the availability of trims to ensure smooth production run while keeping optimum level of inventory through maximum utilization of resources to maintain budgeted inventory levels.
•Proactive contribution in MRP/forecast planning.
•Demand planning/management for downstream supply chain.
•Key team player in implementation of ERP-advance supply chain.
•Setting-up the right measures, and reporting the related Product Supply KPI's, to the higher management.
•Representing Supply Chain at Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) forums.
•New Product Development / Commercialization.
•Leading the regular price/contract negotiation meetings with the vendors / suppliers for trims localization.
•Planning & Development of contracting & procurement strategy involving selection of vendors.
•Significantly reducing transportation costs, carrying costs, capital investment in inventory, and inventory management costs.
I have done BS (Hons) Textile engineering with specialization in Supply Chain Management in Garment Industries.
