Strategic Planning and Monitoring Specialist at Higher population council / Jordan (Jan.2018- Until now).
Job Description:
A. Strategic Planning and Monitoring:
a. Support and contribute to the review and development HPC 5-year Strategic Plan by using BSC; including assisting with the coordination of the midterm review of the Strategic Plan based on SDGs & Jordan 2025: A National Vision and Strategy
b. Develop the executive plan for next year, by coordinate with unit based on Strategy plan.
c. KPIs definition and targets review.
d. Keep track of the challenges and issues raised through monitoring reports from divisions to see how this will impact on the ability of HPC to meet the objectives of its Strategic Plan
e. Contribute to the preparation of HPC quarterly reports and the Annual Performance Report for presentation to the HPC governing bodies’ meetings.
f. Coordinate and contribute to Units meetings to support determining how Unites can achieve the strategic planning outcomes through meetings including logistical arrangements for the meetings, preparing the summaries of these meetings and circulating them to meeting participants.
g. Undertake research, where and when necessary, on issues of strategic importance and relevance to the implementation of HPC Strategic Plan.
B. Monitoring and Evaluation
a. Develop monitoring reports to track the progress across in achieving the outcomes of the Strategic Plan.
b. Provide advice and support to divisions in the development of monitoring plans for their project design documents.
c. Ensure monitoring guidelines and standards are met.
d. Support the creation of good monitoring practices in HPC by planning and conducting spot audits of monitoring practices by divisions and follow up with feedback and suggestions.
e. Work closely with Units in HPC to ensure timely inputs into HPC Program Management and Information System.
f. Use the computer application to monitoring the initiatives.
g. Performance Management Review.
h. Monitor the implementation of recommendations and action points.
i. Coordinate data collection, analysis and reporting.
j. Prepare performance reporting by Lead writing technical and financial reports quarterly and yearly.
k. Conducting field visits to workshops and training programs and distributing the evaluation questionnaire to the participants.
l. Prepare workshops evaluation reports and Training evaluation reports based on Gender Equality.
C. Other:
a. Support the Units work in governance and Results Based Monitoring.
b. Maintain and organize an electronic and paper record of monitoring reports.
c. Draft, edit and proof-read letters, briefs, speeches, memoranda and other documents related to the Strategic Planning Unit work.
d. Adhere to the Gender Equality values as enshrined in the Charter and the HPC Gender Equality Policy.
f. Member of Technical Committees and tender committees.

a. Participate in planning and developing WFP activities and relevant humanitarian response activities.
b. Implement all WFP project activities based on the program objectives and intermediate results reflected in the detailed implementation plan.
c. Contact all beneficiaries and arrange with them distribution schedule. Ensure the accuracy of beneficiary data and update it as necessary.
d. Conduct monitoring visits to the program sites to ensure the implementation of the activities with the National partners on time and to achieve quality results.
e. Coordinate with the beneficiaries in the targeted area on the distribution process, updating the database and orienting the beneficiaries on the vouchers exchange process.
f. Distribute WFP vouchers to the designated beneficiaries at the distribution sites after checking the details of the vouchers and beneficiaries IDs.
g. Conduct regular visits to contracted retailers to orient them on the voucher instruction and collection, share with them estimated number of families who will be approaching them with vouchers, tracking and monitoring the exchange process and collect all the exchanged vouchers and receipts from the suppliers as in the instruction.
h. Report on the work progress, update the beneficiaries’ database and fill all the needed monitoring forms.
i. Deal with the beneficiaries’ records confidentially and professionally.
j. Ensure tracking the volunteers’ attendance during the distribution process and fill all the needed forms for their financial payment.
