• Conduct supervision responsibilities in adherence to guide lines in the Company & contract guide lines as indicated in the project documents and MEW regulations; ensure that supervision guide lines are being adhered to by site electrical engineers all times.
• Review all of shop drawings, composite drawings, material submittals, samples to ensure compliance with technical specifications and ministerial requirements and follow up till obtain approvals from owner, relevant government bodies and ministries e.g. (MEW, MOC, KOC and KFD).
• Selection and approval of sub-contractors for electrical all electrical works.
• Assist in resolving any issues rose informing Main contractor/ client of any discrepancies identified against contract documents and make recommendations to all concerned parties.
• Inspect all procured electrical components and materials and ensure that material on site are being adequately stored and protected prior to their installation.
• Supervise the installations of electrical system on a daily /regular basis to ensure quality control and compliance with contract documents and approved material and shop drawings.
• Ensure that noncompliance to the CCS is communicated to the project manager on a timely basis in order to avoid any delays in construction.
• Remain abreast on changes in local ministerial requirements regarding electrical systems.
• Study the contractor’s CCS schedule thoroughly.
• Coordinate electrical installations with all other services by studying and checking the composite and other relevant drawings.
• Make necessary design studies, electrical calculations such as (voltage drop and short circuit).
• Finalize material orders as per the contract specifications & documents, in addition to secure the necessary approvals and ensure the procurement of materials to be at site even before the approved CPM of the project.
• Attend all progress and coordination meetings.
• Plan, manage, monitor, supervise and direct projects such as Shop drawing submittal, procurement schedule and material submittal log...etc.
• Prepare monthly progress payments, as well as prepare and study variation orders along with its cost / time impact.
• Familiar with quality control and follow the regulations, code of practice and manufacturer’s instructions and recommendations. Ensuring that work is executed as per the approved shop drawings and the usage of the approved material at site.
• Contribute to managing the health and safety of all on-site personnel; report any observed safety violations to all concerned parties.
• Conduct necessary tests including testing and commissioning of all systems and handover to all concerned.
• Ensure and study full documentations of the projects e.g. (as built drawings, maintenance and operating manuals, projects closeout)
