Responsibilities:
- Establish sustainable design goals and targeted LEED credits with the design team.
- Develop LEED Scorecard using the project goals to identify the credits and options that should be attempted by the team.
- Manage project plans, LEED letter templates, status reports, budgets and timelines ensuring goals are met and issues are highlighted early in the process.
- Plan & Schedule Audits methodologies and procedures as per LEED EBOM scorecard and establishment period requirements.
- Develop Waste Management Policy based on LEED requirement to achieve targeted points.
- Conduct site walk through to determine energy baseline and end-use breakdown for ENERGY Conservation Measures (ECM) as per ASHRAE level 1, 2 requirements.
- Initiate activities to improve monitoring and process control to reduce energy costs.
- Contribute to a database of energy saving technologies and/or strategies.
- Implementing energy modeling / simulation as per ASHRAE level 3 requirements.
Senior Mechanical Engineer/ head of mechanical section working as a client / owner representative responsible for all mechanical works including but not limited to: HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Irrigation and medical gases works inside the campus of Sulaiman Al-Rajhi University City (total site area 1, 123, 000 m2 with total estimated budget of 4.5 billion Saudi Riyal) developing and implementing design and construction management process, facility management, sustainability and energy management through overall project budget, bidding process, construction activities, project close-out and occupancy. I’m also working as a head of Safety Unit responsible for health, safety and environmental (HSE) compliance at all facilities inside the campus of Sulaiman Al-Rajhi University City.
Responsibilities:
• Developing design & construction management on various types of projects inside the campus such as residential, educational, commercial, healthcare buildings.
• Implementing all type of facility management process through daily activities including but not limited to corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance using latest updated soft wares such as MAXIMO.
• Developing, implementing and monitoring company environmental and energy management strategies, applying LEED standards throughout the project life cycle from the schematic design stage up to the project handing over.
• Oversees design and construction of buildings and facilities making sure that SRDECo interests are considered throughout project process life cycle from initiation to closing.
• Provide expert advice and assistant to design, construction, and maintenance on all matters pertaining to the mechanical works, including but not limited to, HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Irrigation & Medical Gases systems by applying applicable local codes & standards and other international codes, ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, IPC, UPC, HTM, FGI, etc.
• Perform design reviews and make recommendations for improvement by using the latest design techniques such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) through REVIT MEP to reduce the risk of errors and misalignments, resolving clashes or design issues, improving coordination for mechanical works with other disciplines.
• Develop scope of work, material requisition, technical reports, material specifications & reviewing design packages, vendor submittal & shop drawings managed to timeline and budget.
• Managing the flow of documentation across all stages of the project lifecycle using online portals such as Aconex (Document management software) by tracking workflows through automate review and approval cycles, reducing complexity, improving data capture, increasing control, streamlining the control of RFIs, Mail and forms.
• Analyzes and prepares monthly progress report, monitoring contractor’s payments as well as initiate, negotiates and prepares change orders assuring that the projects financial targets are not exceeded..
• Provide safety training to SREDCo staff, students and employees.

• Manage the day-to-day activities of MEP subcontractors working on the site as well as monitor their progress to verify that work is completed according to project specifications.
