• As a Structural Engineer for the Site Office design team my main role was to Independently designing and verifying the Design Calculation reports. Also single handedly involved in the in- house design of storage buildings, Water pyramid, Lifting stations.
• Exposer to the design check verification for the Progressive collapse in Precast buildings, as per the requirements of UFC codes.
• Key Involvement in the attending meetings for co-ordination, resolving structural related problems, attending progress meeting with all subcontractors and also with clients.
• Involved in the design of temporary structures and checking the capacity of the steel members like tie rods, stud columns etc. Done in regards to the HSC issues.
• Resolving and co-ordination interface clashes and rectification between other disciplines like Architectural and MEP.
• Guiding drafting engineers for preparing design drawings and also involved in cross verification of shop drawings / design drawings.
• Proper management and follow up was carried out with all the subcontractor’s / stake holders to expedite the deliverable submittals on time as per the scheduled dates.
• Involved in the structural design proposals for the tender packages involving Concrete and steel buildings
-Working as a Design Verification Engineer for Stations, the role is to independently design and certify
the designer’s detailed design, shop drawings, As-built & construction sequence drawings along with
review of design basis reports, design status reports, FCR (field change requests) and RFC’s.
Regular periodical field visits are conducted, for inspecting the quality of the work and materials used at
site. Any deviation of quality is recorded and photographed and send to the client as Site Inspection
Report.
Constant follow up is done by me with site team and engineers to ensure that the rectification work for
the identified issues, is done accordingly to the approved drawings
Carried out internal coordination with other disciplines like Architectural and MEP disciplines.
Engaged in internal meeting to sort out design related internal issues and providing inputs to update
structural design checking plan as per the requirement.
Involved in the FEM modeling of whole underground station using STADD pro software
Verifying FCR (site queries) with back up calculation and issuing to site after approval.
Maintain and updating design tracker
As a Structural engineer for supporting the Main contractor- Technical Team, I was mainly responsible
for checking design calculation / shop drawings and assisting Technical Manager to provide technical
solution to site construction work issues.
Involve in checking and verifying design calculation for Substation, Ware houses and for all Tanks.
Attending meetings and competently communicate with Clients, Consultants and Sub -contractors for
the smooth flow of the project.
Providing Technical Solutions with back up calculation in difficult engineering issues arise during the
construction stage at site for acquiring approval from design consultant and from PMC.
Involved in the developing and review of Shop Drawings for all the buildings and utilities structures by
guiding and monitoring the draftsmen.
Developed and maintained proper deliverable logs for tracking the contractual submission dates to
identify any delays.
Co-ordinating and monitoring subcontractors for the timely submission of deliverables, before the dead
line to eliminate any delays. If so sending warning reminders by e-mails.
I used to conduct and organize regular internal technical meeting with other disciplines and
subcontractors to resolve, if any technical issues raise.
Provided structural Design and detailed design Calculation, including load calculations are prepared to
support additional work in construction stages and for any change from the original design
Negotiating modifications in shop drawings with Architects and MEP engineers for any structural
discrepancy with other disciplines.
Site visits are carried out for detailed Investigation of the site related issues, whenever it is raised.
Preparation and submission of detailed design calculation for permeant structural system like slabs,
beams, corbels and columns for substations to get approval from consultants.
Checking, Verifying and approving structural steel materials.
Involved in the developing and review of Shop Drawings for both the towers.
Assisting Technical Manager in resolving site related issues, with supporting design calculations. for
