Role in PIH is to support the CFO in all modelling related tasks : model build, model review, feasibility, project finance & valuation.
Built a healthcare model for the group which helped in assessing the investment and operational feasibility of the project.
Prepared a cash tracking tool using vba for the CFO to evaluate cash inflow and outflow at a glance.
Supported on IPO readiness process by coordinating with finance teams across different BU's and helped in solving due diligence queries. A consolidated model was built for 16 different companies under the group for valuation purpose.
Built a flexible feasibility model for the restaurant business arm of the group which provided an edge to assess the feasibility of any number of restaurants at a time.
Reviewed model prepared in-house and by third parties and helped in edging out critical errors in those models.
Enhanced modeling techniques by coding complex vba codes, building dynamic dashboards and creating userforms for sensitivity.
• Started as an Analyst in the EY modelling team; reviewed & modelled more than 150 financial and valuation models from MENA &
Levant practice covering industries like healthcare, retail, real estate, oil & gas, education, manufacturing, hospitality, livestock, de-
fence, public investment funds and aviation.
• Building simple / complex financial models from scratch based on inputs from management; rationalizing assumptions to yield
acceptable NPV, IRR results; being closely involved in the due diligence work stream
• Seconded for 9 months in Riyadh from October 2019 to June 2020 for multiple projects such as cost driver based budgeting, revenue
segmentation and corporate financial model for P&U client. Working full time at client's office producing models, reports, presentations and
other deliverables were the tasks involved
• Been an integral part of different landmark real estate projects in Egypt. The task involved building 4 different valuation models to
asses the residual land valuation of different mixed-use projects of the client.
• Executed an on-site engagement in UAE for a healthcare project to build an operational feasibility model following a bottoms-up
approach with P&L projection at individual facility level.
• Built a complex model to value the highest & best use for a government health services project under various strategic scenarios
• Provided IPO readiness support to one of the largest Oil & Gas companies in MENA region
• Built an investment decision model for an infrastructure BOT project between the bidder (client) and Jordan government.
• Prepared business valuation using one or more standard valuation methods; validating discount rates (WACC, CoE).
Notable Highlights:
• Multiple secondments done to Riyadh to execute multiple projects for various clients.
• Worked with client on a strategic project for a duration of 3 months in Abu Dhabi which involved carving out of an operational business model for a major healthcare provider in Middle East.
•Joined as an Associate in Stat & Tax team of Northgate group, as part of their expansion plan to bring the group tax compliance and related processes like transfer pricing, VAT etc. to their shared service center in Kochi, India
•Worked in an individual contributor role to prepare direct & indirect taxes for entities in US, UK and Europe
•Executed reviews of general ledgers and financial statements
