Major responsibilities include:
• Support the operation and implementation of Environmental Management System (EMS) ISO 14001 for Qatar University.
• Collect environmental data, prepare reports, and establish the environmental database.
• Support the operation and the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system to optimize environmental performance by Environmental Policy and Environmental Objectives. Conducting yearly audit requirements.
• Assist in conducting environmental campaigns and training at Qatar University to promote environmental awareness, knowledge, and culture.
• Carrying out GSAS certificates for buildings in QU.
• Monitoring and tracking documents, training, testing, and records related to MATAR environmental emergency response plan (EERP) in coordination with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance.
• Develop and improve environmental database in coordination with IT and FM planning for systematic and ease-of-use environmental scientific analysis and reporting.
• Carrying out targeted Inspections and Investigations.
• Taking enforcement action to prevent environmental harm and hold those who break the law to account.
• Inspection reporting to compliance with Qatar University - EHSMS Manual.
• Running paper and food waste recycling programs at Qatar University, monitoring daily KPIs and mandatory plans.
• Monitoring the Hazardous waste collection compliance from QU and responsible for related issues and reporting.
• Daily inspections of Buildings and contractors activities in Qatar University premises regarding environmental compliance.
• Maintaining Environmental tracking of contractors and their environmental performance.
• Preparing tenders for recycling practices.
• Protection of endangered species on the Qatar University premises. E.g. Biodiversity conservation.

Construction of Shahid Mahmood Qureshi Farmhouse, Bahria Town Lahore Pakistan Assistant Environment Oficer My main duties and responsibilities were;
• Monitor and ensure compliance with local, regional, and national environmental regulations and standards relevant to the organizations operations.
• Develop and implement waste management strategies, including proper disposal, recycling, and reducing waste generation. Ensure adherence to hazardous waste disposal regulations.
• Implement measures to prevent pollution, such as controlling air emissions, water discharges, and soil contamination. Recommend and oversee the use of pollution control technologies.
• Collect and analyze environmental data, such as air quality, water quality, and noise levels. Use this data to identify trends and assess the organizations environmental performance.
• Plan and execute initiatives to promote sustainability, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting renewable energy sources, and supporting eco-friendly practices.
• Collaborate with the local community and stakeholders to address environmental concerns, promote transparency, and foster positive relationships.
• Develop and deliver training programs for employees and contractors to raise awareness about environmental issues, regulations, and best practices.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans for environmental incidents, such as chemical spills or natural disasters, to minimize potential harm to the environment and public health.
• Identify and protect ecologically sensitive areas within the organizations operations. Recommend conservation measures and habitat restoration initiatives.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory agencies and governing bodies, detailing the organizations environmental performance and adherence to regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and databases related to environmental monitoring, compliance, and sustainability initiatives.
