• Coordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of projects.
• Prioritize projects to be executed based on customer needs and how responsive these projects are to the organization's vision.
• Assign the team that will work on these projects and ensure that it contains the expertise and skills necessary to accomplish these
tasks.
• Ensure the smooth progress of the implementation process, overcome any difficulties that arise during the implementation
process, and take the necessary measures to solve them.
• Identify and monitor a timetable to complete projects, guaranteeing that they are completed on time and in good order,
according to customer requirements.
• Obtaining customer acceptance of project deliverables.
• Manage office layout and space allocation.
• Monitor maintenance and civil work related to the building.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Track and manage facilities assets ensuring proper storage and inventory management.
• Provide technical advice to managers and staff on all aspects of civil engineering relating to the company’s operations.
• Carry out any required site visits and inspections to determine the civil engineering aspects of planned works.
• Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other).
• Direct and control civil engineering projects to ensure that they are completed to the standards required within agreed timescales and to the agreed budget level.
• Inspect on structural works, road works, surveying works and supervising soil, concrete and road tests.
• Maintain regular contact with other professionals and staff involved in large engineering projects to ensure that there is effective overall coordination.
• Prepare reports on the civil engineering aspects of projects to ensure that decisions are based on the best possible information and take account of all resource implications and time and budgetary constraints.
• Maintain knowledge of modern civil engineering techniques and processes and recommend any new systems that will enhance the effectiveness of the civil engineering function.
• Handle day to day engineering related enquires.
• Undertake engineering investigations, designs and works projects.
• Estimate quantity of concrete and reinforcement.
• Delivery of survey applicable to undertake design and construct of projects
• Apply adopted standards, legislation and sound engineering practice to all facets of engineering works undertaken by the
department.
• Provide assistance with project management of selected projects, including monitoring of quality assurance, financial reporting,
timeframes and asset management components.
• Participate in improvements to team in efficiency, effectiveness and quality assurance.
