I have achieved the following since I joined Sports Corner:
- establishing the legal department from Zero and setting its structure, procedures, mission and vision;
- managing the legal affairs in Sports Corner and its sister companies for more than 4 years.
- I have gained further experience in several industries and activities, as we have 5 companies with the following activities:
- retail and wholesale of sports products, sports
apparels and sports equipment;
- designing and manufacturing of our Private
Labels (apparels);
- retail of a global brand of home furniture (Laura
Ashley);
- e-commerce/online sale;
- fit out and renovations works.
- I have worked on many kind of major contracts, franchise, distribution and manufacturing ones, as we are working with many global suppliers like Adidas, Lotto, Diadora, Laura Ashley, etc.
- as a group, we have worked with many global audit firms like E&Y, PWC and Deloitte for some internal and external engagements. I am participating in the selection of the auditors and the discussions of our requirements, their approach and the review of the engagement letters after selection.
- I have participated also in some big projects with Ernest & Young with regards to creating the manuals and procedures for the group and the expansion of the company from one to a group of companies.
I worked as a legal advisor in that company. I was in charge of all construction and fit out works contracts with clients, contractors and sub-contractors as well.
It was my responsibility to identify the risky aspects in those contracts and stipulate the sufficient terms that protect the company from any potential risk.
Also it way my responsibility to ensure that, those contracts are in line to the applicable laws and other regulations of the official authorities in Qatar and all the required insurances for carrying out the work are in place as well.
I worked as a Lawyer attending all Court cases and preparing all memorandums/reports.
For the last 6 months, I was in charge of the civil cases and debts collection for some huge companies in Qatar like, American Express, Al-Jazeera Finance, First Finance and the Group.
Within that year, I gained a good experience in many branches of legal field, as i worked on many type of cases, Criminal, Intellectual Property and Commercial ones in addition to the civil cases of the aforementioned companies.
I was graduated from Cairo Universality in 2008.
