- Conducting VAT impact assessments on the business across sectors - Banking, Real
Estate, Retail Manufacturing, Project Management, Hospitality, Oil & Gas, etc. and
analysing potential tax savings
- Identifying areas requiring changes - business processes, accounting and IT
- Representing clients & taking up issues with Government authorities for
clarifications
- Supporting in reviewing of VAT returns to ensure timely compliance
- Conducting post VAT implementation review (health check/audit)
- On-going VAT advisory
- Sharing of updates with clients on various developments in Tax laws and its impact
on their business
- Conducting GST impact analysis on business processes across sectors and business
verticals
- Implementing GST on end-to-end basis including change management
- Advising on transition from erstwhile indirect tax regime to GST
- Preparing Goods and Service Tax (GST) awareness material specific to certain
industries like Automobile, FMCG, Real Estate, Pharmaceutical, Project companies,
Chemicals, Oil & Gas etc.
- On-call advisory on day-to-day challenges faced by the business entities post-GST
- Identifying the area of representation to be made by the industry to the
Government of India
- Advisory on other indirect taxes - Excise, VAT, Service Tax and customs
i. Advisory (Indirect & direct Taxes):-
- Providing advisory on the matters pertaining to Excise, Service Tax, Foreign Trade
policies, State VAT, Income Tax, DTAA, etc.
- Validation of reporting under Income Tax, Excise, Service Tax and State VAT laws
- Validation of ‘performance reports’ of Export Oriented Units
- Conducting periodic audits from the perspective of different indirect tax laws
ii. Audit and reporting:
- Conducting audit as per the provisions of Income Tax Laws and various indirect tax
laws
- Finalization / Consolidations of accounts including preparation of Balance Sheet,
Profit & Loss Account, Notes to Accounts
- MIS reporting
- Internal audits of various multi-national companies and reporting of the same to
overseas parent company
