Instructor
American University of the Middle East
Total years of experience :15 years, 8 Months
For the last four years, I’ve been working as an instructor in the Liberal Arts Department at the American University of the Middle East and teaching softskills and theatre courses.
In my current job, in addition to teaching UG classes, I’m moderating 3 courses. This includes tasks of curriculum development, designing the syllabus and assessments as well as coordinating the instructors who are teaching the same courses. Designing and starting a theatre course at the AUM has been one of the biggest accomplishments in my current job.
While I was working as the Head of
English my main role in the team was to organize the educational program and to make sure that
all instructors and coordinators in the department realized their responsibilities to the fullest and
to help them optimize their productiveness. Curriculum development, syllabus design, management of testing office and
teacher training were the main areas of my responsibility.
As the coordinator of Intensive Language Program, my responsibilities covered teaching, curriculum development, syllabus design, material office management, testing office management, administrative responsibilities and team management.
Working at an IB-PYP school has enlarged my vision and changed my overall point of view. As an English teacher, team leader, and adjunct vice principle my main responsibilities covered syllabus design, content development, teaching and team management.
