I supported, mentored and supervised my colleagues’ in their day to day duties including planning and learning journeys. I was a key person with key children in my room which required following procedures such as building a relationship with the key child and their family, facilitating and promoting partnership with parents and carers.
One of the duties within my job role included providing a high standard of quality within the nursery, including the environment and certifying it is child friendly, there are resources for the children, that they are clean and non-hazardous by carrying out risk assessments before children arrive and leave the nursery and before going out in the garden as well as on outings, additionally ensuring that the children have a pleasant experience and that they are comfortable.
