Engineering and Construction Cluster
Reporting to Business Executive Director and providing comprehensive supportive legal services including analysis to the Business Units across the Engineering and Construction Cluster, managing day to day legal, contractual and risk related issues.
EPC experience - lead negotiator in respect of the following projects:
• Sasol Secunda Power Plant 300MW (South Africa - EPC).
• Engineering and design work including conceptual works as well as the procurement of two LM6000 turbines with Debswana Diamond Company (Botswana).
• Beatrix Underground Methane Project at GFI Mining - Beatrix Division (South Africa - EPC).
• ABA Gas Power Plant 120MW (Nigeria - EPC).
• Namakwa Sand Furnace of Gas Power Plant - 15MW (South Africa - EPC).
• Touwsrivier CPV Solar Plant 36MW (South Africa - EPC).
• Klipheuwel Wind Farm 27MW (South Africa - EPC).
• Noblesfontein Wind Farm - 74MW (South Africa - EPC).
• Jasper PV Solar Plant - 90MW (South Africa - EPC).
• Kuvaninga Gas Power Plant - 40MW (Mozambique - EPC).
• Cenpower Kpone Gas Power Plant 340 MW (Ghana - EPC).
Providing comprehensive supportive legal services including analysis and manage the relationship between NUS Consulting and a portfolio of 80+ clients.
Responsibilities:
•Establishing relationships with clients from the interest generation stage through to close whilst at the same time influencing and persuading clients on suitable actions to be taken.
•Building relationships and liaising on a regular basis with top level management.
•Proposal writing, including responsibility for ensuring proper documentation of contract terms and conditions report writing, including recommending strategic solutions to improve clients overall profitability within the ambit of the applicable legislation.
•Negotiating supply contracts.
•Credit management.
•Debt collection and debt management.
•Settlement negotiations.
•Provide legal advice with regards to various regulatory measures.
Providing comprehensive and supportive legal services to the commercial department including analysis.
Responsibilities:
•Drafting contracts, assisting with litigation duties including motion court appearances.
•Pro-actively building sound relationships with key stake-holders.
•Conducting legal research and assist with legal matters.

Candidate Attorney - Criminal law
Public Defender at Jeppe Magistrates Court on the following cases:
•Theft and robbery.
•Assault, common assault.
•Fraud.
•Any other negligent or malicious cause.
