My responsibilities can be summarized as:

 Representation of the company and department with Principals and in the local market (End users, Local contractors, etc.)

 Responsible for the Profit and Loss of the operations of E&IM Department

 Provide strong and dynamic leadership for the company.

 Resolve all issues hindering the proper execution of projects and help close orders for the benefit of the dept.

 Establish dept. strategies and expand product line coverage.

 Monitor the financial stature of the dept. and devise ways to improve business in accordance with objectives.

 Evaluate personnel performance.

 Market the capabilities of the dept. and Mannai Corporation in the local and international arena.

 Network with end-users (QP, Rasgas, Qatargas, etc.), local contractors, etc.

Responsibilities included the identification and qualification of opportunities throughout the country (clients include: Qatargas, Rasgas, Qatar Petroleum, Qafac, Qafco, Qasco, NGL, etc.), the development and execution of dynamic sales strategies for winning opportunities, the preparation of prequalification, technical and commercial proposals for the implementation of miscellaneous projects around the country, as well as the day-to-day operations of the office and all related matters, i.e., dealings with local entities, governmental agencies, subcontractors, EPCs, etc.

Accomplishment included the increase in day to day sales of Foxboro equipment, as well as the winning of many major Projects in Qatar: Rasgas Trains 3 & 4 (20 M USD), Phase I Link Project (1.5 M USD) and Qatar Chemical Project (14 M USD).

8/96 - 1/99 Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas
Project, Ras Laffan, Qatar

Interfaces and Infrastructure Facilities Manager / Assistant Office Manager; Responsibilities included the coordination and resolution of all Engineering and Construction problems with government agencies, the client, third parties, as well as solutions to the daily duties of office administration.

Field Electrical / Telecommunication Engineer; Responsibilities included the management and supervision of contractors responsible for the implementation of the electrical & telecommunication work on the project. The contractors’ scope of work encompassed the laying, installation, termination, commissioning of all electrical and telecommunication cables, systems and equipment with all associated works, i.e., Power, Lighting, Grounding, PA/GA, Telephone, CCTV camera, UHF & VHF systems, etc.

2/96 - 7/96 Sonarco Gas Recovery Project,
Rhourde El-Baguel, Algeria

Electrical Work Group Leader; Responsibilities included the budgeting, costing, planning, managing, supervising, engineering, designing, and procuring the temporary facilities and plant area, as well as all client interface and coordination.

9/95 - 1/96 Oman Liquefied Natural Gas,
Yokohama, Japan

Proposal Coordinator; Responsibilities included the qualification assessment of subcontractors, the preparation and distribution of inquiry packages, the establishment of proposal strategy, as well as proposal write-up.

9/93 - 8/95 Malaysian Liquefied Natural Gas II,
Bintulu, Malaysia

Subcontract Administrator; Responsibilities included the management, coordination, payments, correspondences, backcharging and close out of subcontracts.

Field Electrical Engineer; Responsibilities included the management and supervision of electrical (power / lighting / control / communication & telephone) and instrumentation cable and equipment installation with all associated works, the commissioning of 6.6KV/430V substations and transformers, as well as the handover of the plant’s electrical portion to the client.

7/92 - 8/93 Amoco Oil Company:
Field Electrical Engineer on the Distillate Desulfurization Unit; Responsibilities included the solving of all electrical and control problems in the field, as well as the presentation of material takeoffs for electrical, piping, structural and civil disciplines.

4/91 - 7/92 Abbott Laboratories:
Lead Electrical Engineer / Field Supervisor; Responsibilities included the design (manual and Intergraph) of power, lighting, control, and communication systems for industrial and commercial buildings.

Electrical Engineer; Responsibilities included the design (manual and Intergraph) of power, lighting, fire alarm & communication systems for miscellaneous retail and commercial projects (schools, buildings, hotels, village pump stations, water towers, etc.).
