- Maintenance, installation and optimization on filling machines both bottling and can fillers.
- Identify problems or potential problems through plant walkabout or running maintenance schedules.
- Trending all relevant machine performance parameters; downtime, vibration, usages, component wear etc.
- Carrying out problem solving for top 3 issues according to the loss and waste analysis, utilizing the FFA or the mini DMAIC tool.
- Overhauling fillers, crowners and seamer.
- Reviewing spares critical list and monitoring stock levels and replenishment of the spares
- Coaching and assessing process artisans and operators on basic maintenance tasks.
- Servicing of filler change parts, filling valves and other components on maintenance days.
- Developing periodic maintenance schedules and checklists for fillers and closers.
- Using SAP to create maintenance notifications and raising work orders.
• Maintenance, installation, performing settings, servicing and repair of high speed Packaging machines; these include ANGELUS Can Seamer and KRONES Depalletisers, Palletisers, Bottle Filling machines, Can Filler, Bottle Washer, Labelling machines, Crowner, Conveyors, Packers and Pasteurisers.
• Gearboxes; service, maintenance and repairs mainly; worm reduction, shaft mounted, helical, bevel and planetary gearboxes.
• Bearings; identification, correct fitments, failure analysis, lubrication and corrective action.
• Pumps; service, maintenance and repairs mainly; centrifugal pumps, mono pumps, vane pumps, diaphragm pumps and vacuum pumps).
• Conveyors; maintenance, service, installation and repair different types mainly; belt conveyors, pneumatic, slat chain, screw and elevator buckets.
• Couplings; installation, repairs and maintenance of different types mainly; muff and clamp, gear, fluid, bushed pin, fenner flex rubber tyre couplings, and sleeve jaw couplings.
• Vee-belts and Toothed belts; selection and fitments, alignment and tensioning.
• Routine maintenance; cleaning, lubrication and inspection of packaging plant machinery and associated devices.
• Machining operations from both drawings and samples.
• Attending breakdowns and doing route cause analysis (5 WHY).
