 Responsible to the Resident Engineer for all HVAC related works a and ensuring that installation of services is carried out in accordance with approved shop drawings, specifications and quality control standards.
 Review all mechanical shop drawings with respect to design requirements in accordance with structural, architectural and other services.
 Review the Shop drawings, composite drawings, Builders work drawings & As-built drawing submissions of the main contractor for approval.
 Review the Material submissions like equipment’s, Air Inlet & outlets (Grilles, Diffusers, Louvers etc.) and duct accessories like Sound attenuators, VCD, FD, MSD, Filters, Electric duct heaters, etc. of the main contractor for approval.
 Make appointments of Suppliers and manufactures to approve their products as per the contract documents.
 Review all mechanical (HVAC) material submittals and kitchen equipment’s.
 Monitor site installation activities to ensure that quality of the works shall always be maintained.
 Prepare technical responses to all mechanical related Request for Information (RFI)
 To approve / reject installation works, and material submitted for inspection through work Inspection & Request (WIR).
 To review all Method Statement and procedures with relation to fabrication, installation, flushing, testing, balancing and commissioning of HVAC works & Equipment.
 Review calculations like External static pressure for AHUs, FANs, and pump head for PUMPs and sound attenuators for noise criteria prior approval of equipment.
 Evaluate the contractor’s progress billings and approves the contractor’s payment.
