Responsibilities:
Analyze financial information and prepare accounting entries like the general ledger for accurate documentation of financial transactions.
Review and analyze data on assets, liabilities and capital and prepare financial statements - including balance sheets and profit & loss statements - to provide accurate picture of the company’s current and projected financial status.
Monitor and ensure maintenance of all company financial records to comply with International Accounting Standards.
Review contracts, orders and vouchers and prepare reports validating individual transactions before settlement.
Prepare and ensure on time submission of various reports required by the management including monthly and flash reports, weekly MIS reports as well as variance and ratio analysis study reports.
Deal with credit control including review of receivables and follow up with sales for on time collection of funds.
Process payments of suppliers’ invoices and other routine domestic payments after ensuring compliance with purchase procedures.
Monitor and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to costing, pricing and procurement.
Liaise with insurance companies for fixation of premiums to cover various risks and process claims.
Coordinate with statutory auditors and internal audit department to ensure on time completion of audits and close-out of audit points/observations.
Participate in the ongoing process for review and updating of the company’s systems, processes, policies and procedures.
