Liaised between the client/consultant and the project site team, subcontractors, and vendors, in line with the company’s Construction Management (CM) role in the construction of the new hospital project;
Assisted the project manager in a number of in-contract packages for finishing works that included reviewing the contractors technical submittals, construction work plan, construction schedule, and cost proposals, if complying with the design, specifications, and construction contract;
Reviewed vendor technical submittals for the owner supplied furniture and equipment (F&E) that included shop drawings, product data, and LEED information;
Organized coordination meetings as required, among the client/consultant and project site teams to resolve any technical issues during construction.
Responsible for the design coordination and site execution of the civil and marine component of the port container terminal “design and build” project (topside package), including construction of substations and services buildings, underground utilities, yard paving, road construction, and portion of quay wall;
Reviewed structural and architectural design drawings and specifications of the appointed designer (AECOM) for the construction of RMG crane and STS crane beams, yard paving, sub-station and all utilities buildings, storm water drainage system, and quay wall, if compliant to the Employer’s Requirement (ER);
Developed detail drawings and supervised team of draftsman for the production of shop drawings to be used for construction; Provided technical support for the construction team in the execution of works on site.
Responsible for providing the engineering requirements of the coastal development portion (3 million cu.m. reclaimed peninsula) of the 3.2 kilometer man made water canal project by the Government of Dubai that included reclamation works, construction of rock structures such as breakwater/revetment and groynes, precast quay wall, construction of marina with heavy duty pontoons for super ferries and water taxis;
Developed construction methods for all construction activities;
Interpreted specifications and drawings, raised Technical Queries/RFI’s as required;
Sourced-out subcontractors/suppliers and recommended the cost proposal that meets project requirement;
Prepared engineering submittals that included shop drawings, method statement, and material technical data sheets;
Reviewed sub-con/supplier’s technical submittals, commercial proposals, and monthly billings;
Prepared the project’s monthly progress report which were submitted to the Government of Dubai.
Conducted occasional fly-in/fly-out site visits in company’s North projects as technical support to Client’s construction and mining activities; Generated “for construction drawings” using Autocad Civil 3D modeling that were used in Keylake operations West Wall stabilization project and McArthur River mine MRx expansion project;
Calculated contractor’s accomplished quantities in the mine projects as basis for the Client’s payment of contractor’s monthly billing; Drafted as-built drawings using Autocad Civil 3D in the completed company’s South projects for the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure.
Responsible for the engineering requirements of the shipyard construction project that included reclamation works, construction of rock revetment, concrete precast quay wall, STS crane rails, paving works, waste water outfall and underground utilities; Developed construction methods for all construction activities;
Interpreted specifications and drawings, raised Technical Queries/RFI’s as required;
Responsible for the engineering submittals that included shop drawings, method statement, material technical data sheets.
Assumed similar role and responsibilities in three projects, the construction of new FPSO berthing facilities, the island resort development project, and the development of three fishing harbour project;
The project handled included construction of 1.0m dia. x 24m x 630m contiguous concrete bored pile, 16m deep reclamation, underground utilities, heavy duty pontoons and boat ramps, STS crane beams, pump stations, central services buildings, asphalt road networks, precast concrete bridge, breakwaters, RO plant, precast concrete buildings, resort cottages for the royal family, and commercial buildings.
Responsible for the engineering and construction day to day activities and work organization in the site;
Assigned specific tasks for the engineers, foremen, draughtsmen, and subcontractors in a daily basis;
Managed flow of information among the construction team, from the design development to construction;
Prepared equipment schedule, manpower schedule and any other logistical requirement for the project;

Prepared engineering and construction schedules using Primavera, ensuring timely delivery of the assigned projects.
Implements construction of the Ministry’s projects in whichever part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, by supervising the works of private contractors in ensuring compliance with the ministry plans and contract specifications.
