• Provide a strategic lead on the management, future development of the Library Management System and development of quality policies and processes relating to the acquisition and management of all resources
• Select, manage and acquire resources; both hard copy and electronic, to meet EDA's current and anticipated needs
• Develop and manage databases (online databases, content management systems, etc.) which contain electronic information and resources and update them as required
• Develop and maintain the budget for the library including purchasing, and equipment maintenance
• Interact with designated academic departments and participate in the selection of print and electronic resources
• Participate in the design and content of the library web page
• Maintain and foster relationships with external libraries to develop interlibrary loans, resource cost-sharing, etc.
• Advance the sharing of knowledge and the contribution to a culture of lifelong learning by designing CRC programs that encourages research and critical thinking
• Manage and coordinate the activities of the Cultural Resource Center per the Professional Department strategic plans and policies
• Advance knowledge creation by making available to staff research resources on subjects related to DCT's activities and in line with DCT's mission
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors and library users
• Day-to-day operations of the library including circulation/reference materials
• Implement best-practice standards for billing resulting in a substantial reduction of accounts receivable delays
• Work on collection development and collecting archival materials, following the collection development policies and procedures
• Archive & catalog to help the of recourse accessibility for patrons
• Educate patrons on the use of the different information services as needed
• Manage sessions around information literacy and research skills for the Culture sector employees according to needs
